Replying To Tiger1:  "Have to say very poor match leinster hurling in big trouble."
Been worse obviously, if Wexford were in it.

Off the top of your head Tadhg, when did Dublin last beat Clare in the championship?

I think we will give Clare a good rattle, as long as those injuries we suffered today don't rule out the likes of Crummey and Rushe.
Fingers crossed.

I cant remember them ever beating clare in championship hurling. They wouldnt have played too often either. They had an opportunity to beat them in the league final and blew it badly.

just stop with that statement....maybe galway are actually a very good team playing to their potential at last with the talent and the age profile they obviousily got. i dont think dublin are as bad as the scoreline suggests either.

That result is a big setback for Dublin. Obviously a lot went wrong missing o sullivan and losing chummy, rushed and young kenny who struck 2 lovely points. That apart, Galway were miles ahead in every aspect. Stickwork , speed and movement of the Galway forwards had Dublin backs all over the shop.
Then the Galway backs ate up their route one approach and exploited the space up front.
I thought conor whelan was outstanding. His ball winning and accuracy were off the charts and seems to have a new lease of life playing with niland and rabbitte

I dont think anyone is saying that Galway are poor. They have huge potential mainly because of the significant scoring power they have within their panel. There remain questions about their defence and ability to focus for 75 plus minutes. That wasn't an issue yesterday because Dublin were so poor in the second half but the evidence of their issues were there to be seen. Dublins first goal being exhibit A. Glennon at CB, who had a decent game overall, gets completely the wrong side and over commits ending up on the ground. The Dub saunters in on goal and noone pressures him. Cathal Mannion stands off him and allows him shoot and goal time. Add in the wides in that period and Dublin are right back in a game that should have been over. It didnt matter in the end but against another team it will. They have to fix that.
