Is Paddy Egan gone from the panel? I heard last night in Tuam Stadium he was outstanding for Corofin last Friday night against Milltown. GDL (Galway) - Posts: 948 - 30/04/2026 11:14:18 2669948 Link 0 |

Sometimes players can be released to play for their clubs, to keep their competitive instincts honed. Source re: Matthew T x 2? Triffic (Galway) - Posts: 177 - 30/04/2026 11:57:34 2669965 Link 0 |

Where is this info coming from and are you suggesting Joyce was telling tales when he said both would miss the Connnacht final?

Didn't Thompson undergo a procedure on his ankle? Seems hard to believe he's ok that soon

Why isnt Barry Mchugh getting a look in at all with the seniors? Especially with Daly back into the fray. They work immcaculately together for the club with Dalys and also the likes of O Conghaile's kickpassing ability and Mchughs sheer class when it comes to point scoring I dont see how a team could deal with a full forward line of Mchugh finnerty and Mcdonnacha. We have a set of forwards capable of winning an all Ireland. All about picking the right team Galwayman67420 (Galway) - Posts: 38 - 30/04/2026 22:46:50 2670089 Link 1 |

Everythings on the day, especially between 2 evenly matched teams like Galway and Roscommon. Not a huge surprise if Roscommon won by a similar scoreline as they did against Mayo or Galway done likewise to be honest, I don't know if either result should massively change your opinion at this stage. Would you have Down up there with Kerry because of the result last weekend? JimB1991 (Donegal) - Posts: 154 - 30/04/2026 23:38:42 2670093 Link 0 |

We need Barry Mc Hugh, we are the only panel without a dead ball free taker. suckvalleypaddy (Galway) - Posts: 1792 - 01/05/2026 10:50:02 2670130 Link 0 |

I guess we all get sucked in by recency bias. We are all now thinking that Roscommon and Down both are top 5 teams based on 1 performance against 2 sides who werent at their best. The last couple of years we have seen inconsistent results ( i.e. A beats B, B beats C and C beats A , e.g. meath hammer kerry, donegal hammer meath, kerry hammer donegal) to an extent that we never saw before so we need to be careful into reading into a single result/performance. No doubt ros and downs stock is on the rise but they need to back sundays performance up with more similar performance before being considered in the top bracket. I would still be surprised if either of the 2 make an all ireland semi.
