It was a very harsh black card. Flaherty came out and stood his ground. Not much else he could have done except get out of the way and let McLoughlin through for an open goal. McLoughlin ran into him, rather than Flaherty taking him down.

Is there anything wrong with a Sligo supporter having an opinion.? I wasn't negative towards the team or mgt. I didn't slate any players or belittle anyone. A few Galway supporters could take a leaf out of my book eoinog (Sligo) - Posts: 2393 - 26/04/2026 20:15:28 2668947 Link 4 |

Being honest Roscommon were unreal today and we will need everyone of those players playing out of their skins to win the next day.We are underdogs to be sure.

Coming back from injuries, they were great to have as subs yesterday and made some impact. If fit, they should be on the starting 15.

Walsh has missed like 2 championship games in the last 5 years. Not sure how it can be said he hasn't been consistently fit. Anyone who watched the game yesterday and how lively he looked would say it's absolute madness not to play him Comer is a different story and it'd be a big surprise if he started but he'll likely come on. But again, not sure starting a player that good if it comes to it later in the year could be considered a step backwards. He came on as a sub twice last year under these new rules and caused havoc both times PressureKick (UK) - Posts: 365 - 26/04/2026 20:53:13 2668968 Link 0 |

You are correct, he has missed very few games but he played a lot of games that he was injured and didn't do himself justice. The All Ireland final from 2 years ago springs to mind. He is an exceptional talent and a joy to watch when he is fully fit. I would love to see him starting but there's doubts in my mind if he has the legs for it anymore.

Paddy Power mustn't have factored on Fortress The Hyde in that price. Ye're way overdue v Galway at the Hyde. 1990, I think. On that law of averages, Ros time must be now.

Take a night off Clare the manner of the defeat to the Rossies will have you sour for a while.

You know when you're going to play Roscommon you have to be ready for war. Galway players have to be ready to dive on every loose ball and put their head where others wouldn't put their feet. Because you know the Rossies will. Galway are forewarned in fairness. Despite what the bookies say I think a lot of people will be tipping Roscommon to win the final now. Especially if they get Cregg back. I expect Brian Stack will be back for them as well. No harm Galway coming in off a poorish performance and being written off somewhat. My biggest concern is the injuries as ever. What is the condition of Tierney, Glynn, Hernon? Johnny McGrath was taken off after getting a knee into his ribs. Sounds like he'll be touch and go as well. Would be a tough ask without those four. Marooned (Galway) - Posts: 2531 - 26/04/2026 23:36:26 2669027 Link 0 |
