Maybe you should be more concerned about the state of Wexford Hurling.

The New York trip wouldn't be a big deal for Dublin, Meath, Cork, Down, Antrim, Louth, Wicklow, Kildare But for everyone else (where emigration has been a historic way of life) then it would be a big event. Especially if it was a 1 in 24yr trip. The bigger problem for New York is the timing and lack of competitive games otherwise. They play In April - then get an away trip in June and not other games really. They would be better off if they had to travel to Waterford the week before the tailteann cup for a qualification match - then stay on for an away first round match (if they qualify), then 2 home matches to complete the round robin. They could be rotated through the tailteann cup teams so two different counties get to travel out. tirawleybaron (Mayo) - Posts: 1728 - 08/04/2026 11:28:30 2665225 Link 0 |
