I take it you'll be supporting the orange faced man without a single plan for Iran, just because he says some of your favourite soundbite phrases that make up half your vocabulary?

Is that why Leitrim didn't field in a league game last year? Was that a protest as well?

Good man. More power to you. But just curious - Why didn't you or any of the other protestors march on the Camogie Association Congress? They accept sponsorship from Allianz too. Or on the HQ of the Olympic Federation of Ireland, when our competitors in the recent Winter Games wore Allianz logos on their kit? What will you be doing at Allianz Cumann na mBunscoil games over the next while? Or about other companies also named in that UN Report, e.g. Amazon? They have a Community Fund that supports projects & festivals across the country. One of them takes place at Kilmore Quay here in Wexford. Should organisers there expect protestors this year? I agree alot of history is written by the victors. But equally losers write their own as well. Even the arab side of the story tells of the 5 countries armies invading Israel at that time. The only prople who know for sure were there. And even then they would only know the bit they saw themselves. I wasnt even born. Thats why I said Im not sure what happened back then. Bottom line is Im neither pro Israeli or pro Palestinian. And I dont think the GAA should be either. Viking66 (Wexford) - Posts: 18663 - 04/03/2026 12:27:41 2659905 Link 2 |

I won't be supporting any war or anything that clown does. This nonsence with Allianz will not help the Palestinians one iota. Woke nonsense which you wouldn't get.

You brought up Iran. So you dont support it, you're just neutral on illegal wars then. Got it. Its those 'wokies' that are the real threat to global stability, those banners are far more damaging than the latest tech weaponry being used on civilians to make a political point. You're a real man of the people arent you.

You know the reasons why Leitrim didn't field a team last year but you went for a cheap shot. Poor form from a neighbour.

I hope this is not too difficult for you. "Woke" originated in African American Vernacular English (AAVE) to mean being "awake" or alert to racial prejudice and social injustice. While historically a term for awareness, it is now primarily used in political discourse as a pejorative, conservative label for progressive, liberal, or "politically correct" ideologies. YouTube YouTube +4 Key Aspects of "Woke" Origin: The phrase "stay woke" was used in the 20th century to describe awareness of social injustice, often rooted in Black culture as early as 1938. Original Meaning: It implies being conscious of the societal climate, specifically attentive to systemic racism and discrimination. Evolution: It gained widespread usage around 2014, notably with the Black Lives Matter movement. Modern Usage (Pejorative): By the late 2010s and early 2020s, it was adopted by critics as a derisive term for liberal policies, "cancel culture," and progressive social movements. Context: It is often used to describe, or criticize, efforts toward diversity, inclusion, and the dismantling of traditional societal structures.
