fair play to Lakecounty90, he's doing some work with those updates, every game's score was up by around 10 last night, and it looks like he's doing it mostly on his own. He's built a huge following already. Not trying to be negative here on ClaretandBlue, but it probably should be a bit of a reality check for the county board. Late inclusion to the Congress table. A motion to change an existing Championship structure which will see the 9th best placed team replace the 4th best placed team in qualifying for the group stage, in the same grade. Seriously, can you imagine such ludicrously being debated and voted (fairly) on at Congress? No, you can't because it would be laughed at and thrown out. Does anyone know what position Patrick Doherty has within the county board? Has it changed ? Last time I checked he was head of operations. What does head of operations do? I see he was at congress representing Westmeath. Just thought it was abit odd since being a county board delegate isn't in his job spec when he was interviewed in 2020? In an interview he did in 2020 with Westmeath topic he said the following " The role itself is many and varied. Basically it involves dealing with finance, liaising with team managers, and liaising with team co-ordinators and working with the clubs. I have a good relationship with the clubs, so you could say I'm acting as a conduit between the county committee and the clubs. I also work with the CCC on fixtures, and the scheduling of games throughout the calendar for their master fixture plans. Last year the apparently 7th best team in Intermediate Milltownpass easily beat the apparently 4th best team Multy in the intermediate quarter final. The idea of the top 6 being automatically being way better than the bottom 6 just isn't the case. It's all a flawed system which suits some clubs and is all based on the previous year. Imagine a player who is in Australia or somewhere can influence a championship this year even though he didn't play in it. All players in senior or intermediate should have the same chance of winning it or being relegated but no, some teams can't be relegated and some can that's where the lack of fairness really lies. They are all in the same competition. It's different than being relegated from senior to intermediate for example as they are different grades. The structures the last few years which you are in favour of, and this years structure both are unfair and not even handed. Probably going to get chewed up for this post but explain how I'm wrong. What a win for CBS - superb game from start to finish. Thought Masterson, O'Brien, Ormsby, Moloney and Scahill were absolutely outstanding. Byrne and McWade were very impressive too. The lack of proper training facilities is really coming home to roost. I fear for the hurlers tomorrow. Laois will drag them into a physical battle.

I'd say injuries played a big part as well. Most of the bench today haven't seen much league game time yet, and the lack of midfielders is going to be a serious issue, especially with Johnny and likely Ray out for the next game. We were poor today, but Sligo and Clare going head-to-head is the only thing keeping promotion slightly in our favour.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think we will still go up if we win our last two games so tonight's result may not matter too much. I'm hoping that McHugh had his eye on that scenario and heavy loaded training this week. Otherwise it's a worrying result. We will have a better idea of the players when the chips are down these last two games now that they really matter. It's win or bust! I think your 100% correct win our last 2 and we will get promoted. It's time for players two dig in i would definitely change it up and bring in Conor McCormack let it be midfield our centre forward he can unlock defenders with his range of passing also we able kick 2 pointers. Also start Bardon Kelly as a inside forward and would take pressure of Luke and give us a real chance. Hopefully some of the lads that are injured will be ready to come back in . Tadhg Baker has been badly missed as his reading of games and time management is excellent.
