What way will they approach London? Start strong team similar to Monaghan and hope to take lads off early if they can open up a gap? Get more minutes into lads that need it.

Replying To Drax_the_destroyer:  "I've seen it a lot from you rossie supporters after any win it's because the team was poor.

Tyrone in Omagh in a knock out championship game aren't poor. Rossies on the day was good defensively and shooting efficiency was good the problem at the moment is Roscommon are the opposite and firstly need to use the London game this week to restore a bit of confidence and sharpen up the shooting."
100%. Confidence appears to be an issue at the moment. I'd be shocked if he didn't start a strong team against London and get some of our sharp shooters scoring again.

The approach should be to start with your strongest possible team and look to end the contest as quickly as possible.

We have seen with our neighbours over the years to what can happen when the approach isn't right against London.

Mayo in 2011 who chose to use the game for a run out for fringe players and those coming back from injury and before they knew it they were in a battle and lucky to get extra time.

Leitrim and Sligo in 2013 and Sligo again in 2022 who needed extra-time to get past the dogged challenge of London in an intense Tailteann Cup round one tie at Markievicz Park.

Lastly Offaly who are getting plenty of praise at the moment but just 11 months ago London gave them a trimming in O'Connor park.

We were fortunate to get out of NY with a win in 2016.
In 2011 we tore into it and led something like 1-10 to 0-1 in 20 minutes .

Our U20s 9 win against Sligo is looking a lot better now after Sligo beat Galway to tonight. Winner into the knock out stages in Tuam next week.

Sligo, were much changed to the team that played Roscommon last week. If they beat Mayo and Leitrim they'll win the group.

Mayo (under 20's) beat Roscommon by 5 points and Galway by only 2 points. Galway will be a difficult game next week. All to play for. Interesting to see how the Mayo v Sligo game goes.

Three would finish on 6 points then and results/scoring difference between the three would decide who finishes 1st,2nd,3rd.

Nine same starters against us and another two that started was introduced last night. All bar one point of their 2-8 scored last night was by players that featured last week. Sligo would need other results to fall their way for them to win the group and if Mayo need to win to top the group I would expect them to beat Sligo.

On the other hand if we lose to Galway then Mayo will have topped the group and they'll rest starters for their final group game giving Sligo a decent chance of beating them and finishing on 6 points. So all to play for in Tuam next week it's basically a Quarter final tie.

If Sligo win their remaining games they will win the group. They should beat Leitrim. If we lose to Galway but beat Leitrim places for the qf would come down to scoring differences between Galway, Roscommon and Sligo providing Sligo lost to Mayo. Is that the way it looks as of now. Obviously if we can win in Tuam or even draw it would be a good result.

Mayo can't rest starters in the final if we beat Leitrim. If they do and we win, we will top the group. Our 9 point loss against Roscommon leaves us at a huge disadvantage if there's a 3 way tie on 4 points which could easily happen

For Sligo U20s to top the group they would need to win their remaining games and hope Roscommon slip up in at least one of their remaining two games.

Safe travels to all Rossies heading across the pond this weekend, should be a good contingent of us over in London and a great weekend!

Should have no issues getting over the line convincingly and it will be interesting to see the team Davy goes with. Disappointing end to the League campaign but promotion was always the name of the game. Hopefully he goes strong, have the game under control after 15 minutes and give lads some game time towards the end. Would like to see the team below but could see Ultan Harney, McManus or Cox being thrown in for the likes of Cregg /Daly

Carroll
Neary
Murray
Higgins
Ruane
Fallon
Daly
Doyle
Nolan
Enda Smith
D. Cregg
C. Murtagh
D. Murtagh
C. McKeon

A strong team and a good game for the two lads to make their debuts. I would agree on your point above to put the best foot forward from the start and then think about making changes. You don't want a situation where a fringe team is neck and neck with London and confidence starts dropping.
If all those start there is a lot of big men there around the middle. Nolan and Doyle have been very good so far. Maybe a bit of improvement when it comes to tracking men but they've been excellent. Hopefully the team can get more of a kicking game going as well.

I know there must be fierce competition for the forward places but is Paul Carey still involved in the panel?

Fair play to all those players and others who have put in a serious effort for very little game time. Shows how committed they are to the team and Roscommon.
Some of these guys are the real hero's in my opinion.

McGinley and Nugent are definitely 2 for the future .
Best of luck to Minors tonight and Seniors tomorrow.
Safe travels to those going to Ruislip.
