He was a pundit for BBC at the Down Antrim game. Think the rumours of him making a county comeback are nonsense. Michael is a great pundit, can see him making a great manger too in time.

Wasn't he in Newry on Pundit duty?

Yes. It's definitely not going to be easy, but if everything goes well, if we can pick from as close to our strongest deck, of course we can win it. We have fantastic footballers, and I trust Jim to have the game plan right. Of course we will need luck, but the very best of teams need luck. Weather forecast looking good for next weekend, should be great for the game and I think a dry day will suit us better, all depends what players we have available but we should give them a good rattle at least, Ulster has been poor so far. Think you're getting a bit ahead of yourself after the 2nd week of the league

Yeah and he's starting a weekly column with the Irish Times as well.

Its a pity, as I think we are too light inside at the minute with McBrearty injured, and Michael Murphy could play a full match inside at FF with this current team and cause mayhem one on one against any defender.

Yeah, Hugh McFadden and Langan have been tried on the edge of the square for periods this year, but not much has come of it. but Murphy would be some weapon in there but there's no point wondering

Once again, yesterday, for a 2nd weekend in a row, our opponents failed to field a reserve team. This is an absolute disgrace but not really surprising. A lot of people forecast this would happen. We have a panel of approx 25 players that haven't had any football at all so far this term. The clubs that voted against ourselves and Letterkenny joining the junior championship should hang their heads. tidytownman (Donegal) - Posts: 298 - 15/04/2024 18:14:13 2538169 Link 1 |
Hi tidytownman: Was flagged as a bad decision at the time and now proving to be the case.

About time for the reserve leagues to be restructured to be regionalized and have their own tiers not tied to the senior teams.

Maybe you should fact check your posts before posting them. Bundoran have fielded a reserve team this year, just ina different division. Also, Letterkenny (Gaels) are already in the Intermediate why would they want to drop to Junior? peiledoir20 (Donegal) - Posts: 1181 - 16/04/2024 09:08:40 2538248 Link 0 |
You would think that with the footballers playing on Saturday that the Hurling game with Mayo could have been on Sunday. We are all supposed to be GAA people not two totally separate groups. gunman (Donegal) - Posts: 1143 - 16/04/2024 11:53:29 2538314 Link 0 |
Was thinking the same on the Sunday morning of the League final in Croke Park when there was a full program of LGFA league games played, meaning any GAA volunteers involved with those teams or anyone who wanted to support them couldn't support the men's team in Croke Park

If Naomh Conaill and St Eunans were not allowed in the Junior B Championship surely if any team in Division 1 have a Reserve Team they should be in Division 1B?

Maybe ask Bundoran that question. Or ask Downings why they didn't have a reserve team on Sunday? peiledoir20 (Donegal) - Posts: 1181 - 17/04/2024 07:10:16 2538481 Link 0 |
Lots of talk of Jim having something up his sleeve. What sort of thing? High_and_wide (Donegal) - Posts: 84 - 17/04/2024 09:30:24 2538502 Link 0 |
