It's a disgrace and embarrassing when other counties come to Drogheda. No the clubs fault as it is just a club ground. Darver should not have happened until County ground was done or ideally it should have included it in Darver just like Owenbeg. ged (Louth) - Posts: 313 - 04/04/2017 13:42:54 1975408 Link 0 |

There have been rumours circulating that the HSE has looked into purchasing land off Drogheda United and the Gaelic Grounds for redevelopment and expansion plans. Can't be sure what substance there is to this, but at least it would be movement. Sometimes losing an option can be progress, staying in the same place can be what takes over. Drogheda Utd don't own land now it's FAI own it an utd are renting it. Tink HSE have enough money prob paying for huge ext goin on in lourdes at min. Would be ideal for deal to be done, dont forget its ire we in. Redzer_Brown (Louth) - Posts: 153 - 10/05/2017 15:15:21 1985716 Link 0 |

A good reason not to develope it. 19616609 (Louth) - Posts: 1683 - 15/05/2017 19:35:04 1986934 Link 0 |
People tend to forget that point and it really is one of the main reasons why we shouldn't develop Drogheda. What other counties out there have a ground that the pitch would be the main pitch for a club within the county. Madness.

It's a decade ago that Louth last faced Wicklow in the Championship.

Certainly is Ollie. That was Micko's first season in charge . It was a rollercoaster but we made it convincingly in the end . We got to the last twelve that year and gave Cork their fill of it . And meantime back at the ranch we still have the worst county ground in the country.

Wee sure do Greengrass. Our captain marvel from the great year of 1957 also died a decade ago Dermot O Brien.
