why does it say you have 7 posts and 109 on your 1st post in this thread??

yes this type of scenario has oft times perplexed me but I have it sorted.

at the time the post was made he probably had 2 posts. by the time someone responded later he probably had 7 posts. they copied and pasted the post when it said he had 7. now that he has posted say 21 all his previous posts will say 21 aswell . if you look back at your own posts they will all say the same number. even if you look back at your very first post it will be the same number as you are currently at. (however if someone had copied and pasted your original post (at the time) it would say "posts 1".

hope that's as clear as mud.

One of the all time classics.

Crazy occurrences lead to rule changes. This one put this forum on the path to disallowing posts between certain hours :-) I remember reading this the morning after the 2008 All-Ireland final and just smiling.
