So men any news or updates regarding trials, new players invited into panel or who do you think may be given an opportunity to be part of Big Kev's plans for 2017?

No need for trials-Kevin must know all the players in Galway and where he needs players at this stage.

He needs to badly find 4-5 players and I suggest looking at Mountbellew and Corofin as starting points.

Hes tried everyone out West at this stage thats for sure!

there's talk of a development squad of players who are being considered this year, mostly u21's. not sure how much truth is in it but it would be a good thing if it was

Staying with the club scene ,, Corofin and Dr. Crokes,, how do ye see that going,, and what about St. Thomas's and Ballyea... know Clare supporters fancy Ballyea big time for this one...

Corofin & Crokes be tight, Crokes have lost 3 AI Semis over past few years, think that might drive them on to want it more. Ballyea have really improved in the Munster championship. Think Thomas will be physically too strong though. be 2 great games in store.

I see the Irish Independent reporting that Armstrong is back with the panel for 2017. Great addition to the squad. When the Corofin contingent come back there will be huge competition for places in the forwards. and as we all know a strong bench is vital these days. O'Curraoin back too which was expected but is a huge boost also

Great to hear all these players back in.I also hear Johnny Duane is back. Competition will be huge even to get onto the panel. It is great to see, plus all the good young footballers coming through from the minors and U21's. The older lads on the panel will be under pressure. Mayo will have a huge motivation for the Galway match this year, you would have to admire the Mayo supporters they always back there team,so let's hope we Galway supporters can match their supporters in backing the team. Hugely looking forward to this year. Gaillimh abú

Yes, Lundy, Armstrong, Fionntain, and Johnny Duane.
Great to see Ian Burke, Kieran Molloy, Ronan Steede Mike Farragher all in there as well, along with former Galway utd keeper Conor Gleeson.
Michael Daly and Barry Mc Hugh from Mountbellew.. Will be huge competition for places..

Lundy will also be back in contention, he was interviewed on the GAA hour with colm parkinson and said he'd be making himself available after corofin's journey comes to an end

Is there a list anywhere of the extended panel or is it all word of mouth?

Is that gleeson from dunmore? Minor keeper in 2011?

I thought the win against Mayo and then going on to win a Connacht final against Roscommon would get the juices flowing amongst those who'd travelled to the states last summer and even looks like Armstrong has decided to make a come back. We didn't have much on the bench last summer to make a difference, hopefully that will put right in 2017.
