I'll give the North team a go dubshurling7 (Dublin) - Posts: 1017 - 04/10/2016 20:13:15 1922590 Link 0 |
Many areas that are in South West Dublin are referred to differently depending on thr situation. For example if you're trying to sell a house they're in South Dublin but when someone gets shot it's very much West Dublin. I think that sums it up nicely. If I was ever to sell the gaf in North Strand I think I might get away with calling it the IFSC ;) MesAmis (Dublin) - Posts: 13801 - 04/10/2016 20:18:49 1922595 Link 0 |
Hurling would be far more popular than football in the wealthier areas of south Dublin. Must be at least 10 years since anyone outside Cuala, Kimacud Crokes or Ballyboden won the Dublin championship bad.monkey (USA) - Posts: 4649 - 04/10/2016 20:20:07 1922597 Link 0 |

Partition has been a disaster in Ulster, why would anyone want to impose that on Dublin? El_Torro (Tyrone) - Posts: 155 - 04/10/2016 21:27:10 1922616 Link 0 |

I was naming Sunday's panel got the Byrne's mixed up. Makes the North even better. Add in McCaffrey and that's serious. They'd be All Ireland contenders for sure. Whammo86 (Antrim) - Posts: 4526 - 04/10/2016 22:09:32 1922634 Link 0 |

I've never in my life life heard neilstown/Ronastown as part of Lucan , there both part of Clondalkin. How is hurling more popular in wealthy south side areas badmonkey? It's popular alright but Crokes Boden Cuala Jude's have always had great football teams. Crokes n Boden have won football all Irelands in recent years. clondalkindub (Dublin) - Posts: 9926 - 04/10/2016 23:45:34 1922670 Link 0 |
Emmett O Conagaile (spellcheck) from Lucan is a sub on the north side team, when did he move clubs? clondalkindub (Dublin) - Posts: 9926 - 04/10/2016 23:51:21 1922672 Link 0 |
I don't like this thread or the gentleman who posts frequently on rotating Dublin around other provinces. Laois76 (Laois) - Posts: 1270 - 05/10/2016 00:04:16 1922676 Link 1 |

There are a few estates in south Lucan that the land was rezoned for in the 90s. They would've originally been part of D22 but got rezoned into Co Dublin. The ones closest to Neilstown and Rowlagh I think. MesAmis (Dublin) - Posts: 13801 - 05/10/2016 07:51:22 1922686 Link 0 |
