Replying To royaldunne:  "Hows that a dig at Kerry? Also supported mayo against Tyrone this year, and dubs over last few years. Think you need to check your facts my friend."
You just said Tyrone were on the way up, Mayo were on the way down and they were meeting in the middle, so hardly a glowing tribute to our lads. You were having a little spat with the Kerry lads on another forum so it was a nice way of annoying them by saying Mayo are a better team. (I very much doubt either you or they believe it but sure put it out there anyway). Nice to see some of your posts about Mayo not containing the words whingers or bottlers but I suppose you're holding fire until after the final. Don't worry the next couple of weeks will fly.

Replying To Whammo86:  "Agree with some of what you say. I don't agree with it being Mayo's last chance. Their most important players still have some of their best years. Higgins could go but S O'S and Boyle are the next oldest key men and could still go a minimum of 2 more years.

They've u21 success to refresh the squad in the meantime. I don't see them going anywhere."
Totally agree,if anything I firmly believe that Mayo will get better in the next one to three years with their U-21's.

I said it and I'll say it again .Underage success DOES win trophies if you already have a strong panel in place(usually not if you have an average one),just ask the Dubs. Mayo have a strong panel already, stronger than ourselves before we got our batch of youth injected into the senior set up.Anyone who genuinely thinks Mayo are a dying team are just listening to media propaganda on repeat and taking it for truth .

Mayo are not favourites this year(rightly so) and a decent chance they won't win it but I'm confident to say they will win one in the next three years from watching their U-21s very closely this year, those young lads are winners ,some have a minor and U-21 all Ireland medal in their pockets already...Few Mayo players in the past can boast such accolades by the age of 20/21. The end is nigh prophecies just baffle me in relation to that team .

Dublin are the best team in the country, they will start as justified favourites and most probably will win the All-Ireland. Mayo still has an enormous monkey on their backs when it comes to All-Ireland finals and personally I'd like too see them get that off their backs, their fans have suffered enough over the last couple of decades.

Sneaky feeling for Mayo especially after beating Tyrone. If it was Kerry or Dublin that beat Tyrone I think there would more about that particular win. Tipp are a very good side also. Given the rivalry between Dublin and Kerry. I think most Dubs think it there's now after dispatching Kerry. Mayo have come up wit some clever tactics this year one been playing Alan DIllon as third midfielder against Tyrone, It shows they are well able to adapt. I expect Mayo to go after Dublin kick outs. I expect K' O'connor to play a lot better that the last day. Mayo have real quality on the bench Parson's Barrett Evan Regan Dillon. so they can change things if needed. Dublin class side themselves obviously. But i think Mayo can do it and I also Mayo would prefer Dublin because they just cant beat Kerry. But they have Beat Dublin in recent years. There wasn't a hole a lot between them last either.

Hopefully

Men behind the ball

That's exactly what we want Mayo to do

Dont think the kick outs are the smoking gun most think. Listen every team who have played Dublin are traveled up to the City habe had a kick out strategy and tried the long ball up to a big forward. Both have cost very few problems to be honest. Let us have it, push up, the sacrifice made doing either will be quickly worked out.

Mayo tried the long ball last year with AOS who was pretty invisible in the two games last year. I was concerned about Kerry as they are the best team in the country for kick passing and Donaghey has the handskills to cause damage, didnt happen though, pull James McCarthy back or O' Sullivan for the physical presence to contest and you have one of three nippy full backs with hand everywhere ready to pick up the peices.

The better joy i think comes from running at Dublin or varying your game with kick passing and running, both leave space in behind and i have seen Mayo play more defensive this year. Whether they will commit the runners or have the quality in the kick pass are questions that have to be answered. The only thing left then is keeping Dublin out and pray for a day of wides.

Agreed, I think the majority of their fans deserve it. D

Yeah that is fair enough

Def have many excellent fans that deserve a win

But for me regardless if they were playing Dublin or not I'd shout for the other team

The diving incident and then claiming it wasn't a dive, and then Andy Moran backing up that nonsense...

Not for me and that sort of carry on will hopefully not be rewarded

Tipped Mayo at the start and I hope they pull it off, They have got there without a big performance. They always have one huge game in them.p

You're wrong. Most Dubs are not counting their chickens at all. This is going to be a serious contest.
These Dublin players have learnt to avoid complacency like the plague.

Maybe Dublin do seem to have learn't a lot. But if you read my post again you will its just one factor I highlighted.

I'm intrigued to hear your opinion on Philly McMahon feigning injury against Mayo last year?

He then went on national radio denying it and everything.

It must grate on you that he was "rewarded" for doing that...
