Perhaps this clash doesn't quiet have the same ring about it as in previous decades but considering what happened with Cork,Mayo and Tyrone having a scare too, could Meath do a smash and grab job as in 2010. Forewarned is forearmed. Dubh_linn (Dublin) - Posts: 2313 - 19/06/2016 20:38:54 1869126 Link 0 |
If the dubs don't win by double figures I will be shocked. gotmilk (Fermanagh) - Posts: 4971 - 19/06/2016 20:54:26 1869137 Link 0 |
The present set-up doesn't do complacency so we're told, but we'll see soon enough, Dubs by 9 or 10! realdub (Dublin) - Posts: 8667 - 19/06/2016 21:03:35 1869145 Link 1 |

Dublin played well in places against Laois, but overall the performance was below par jimbodub (Dublin) - Posts: 20681 - 19/06/2016 21:22:10 1869163 Link 0 |
I don't think they do. . .but that's not enough. There's a huge gulf in class. In order for Meath to win, I reckon they need to score 4/5 goals again. I don't think they have the forwards to do this and I think Dublin's defence gives Cluxton more protection than in 2010. cavanman47 (Cavan) - Posts: 5115 - 19/06/2016 21:22:31 1869165 Link 0 |

The only way you can fear a team is if you fear losing to them, therefore I'd wager that Meath in fact DO fear Dublin, if they don't, they should :D realdub (Dublin) - Posts: 8667 - 19/06/2016 21:57:48 1869200 Link 2 |

We're probably going to get hammered. A 5 point loss would be a good result. To have any hope we need a very aggressive blanket defensive with Wallace, O'Sullivan and Reilly breaking at pace. We should leave two big men, Newman and Tormey on the edge of the square and bring everyone else behind the ball when we don't have it. Soon as we lose the ball we need to sprint back and form a defensive structure. Can't see it happening. HighKings (Meath) - Posts: 271 - 19/06/2016 22:10:56 1869211 Link 0 |

Any hopes Meath had of catching Dublin on the hop disappeared last night when Galway beat Mayo. waynoI (Dublin) - Posts: 13654 - 20/06/2016 01:05:09 1869259 Link 0 |
