It's virtually impossible in seeing this Dublin side losing this year . TheRightStuff (Donegal) - Posts: 1688 - 24/04/2016 21:59:09 1848871 Link 0 |

And the reff gave the dubs everything AGAIN some joke having joe mcquillan doing sideline again today and giving Dublin soft decisions , am I right in saying joe macquillan has been involved in every victory the dubs have had over us in the last 5 years? Kerry showed flashes of brilliance in the first half, Gooch linking up with O'Sullivan, some nice diagonal passing etc. but they have passengers in some of those older fellas. Gooch is perhaps ok for 35 but, as I suspected, once Philly started his roving runs Gooch couldn't track him. Donaghy is a liability now. He doesn't have the engine for midfield and destroys Kerry's footballing ethos when moved into the square where he is generally second to every ball anyway. Sheehan is also gone. Fenton lorded it in the middle yesterday. They've a big discipline problem as well which isn't helping their cause either. Fitzmaurice needs to give the younger fellas a run and let there be a real changing of the guard. Good win for the Dubs although a few dodgy performaces there too. Philly had an off day and Connolly and Flynner never got going. Still Kilkenny was immense again and Bernard rolled the clock back. Nice to do he 4 in a row. The drive for five starts now. Look Dublin are marvelous, and all this bs by other counties outside Leinster that its so predictable is just that, bs , Dublin would steam roll any province they are that good. royaldunne (Meath) - Posts: 19449 - 25/04/2016 09:02:30 1848884 Link 0 |
Have to say I thought Kerry would be closer and have a bit more about them to put it up to the Dubs. catch22 (USA) - Posts: 2148 - 25/04/2016 09:14:20 1848889 Link 0 |

Well done to the Dubs. By far the better team. They are miles ahead of the rest. We need to go back to the drawing board. Our goalkeeper and ageing defence are a shambles when teams run at them. Its time to replace Marc and Aidan with younger players now. You cannot expect to stop the Dubs when you have 2 35 year olds in there. Donaghy' cannot last 70 mins either. The sending off and 1st goal were a huge blow but the Dubs were starting to get on top around that time anyway. I dont think it would have been an 11 point win but it would have been a win regardless. aidan64 (Kerry) - Posts: 668 - 25/04/2016 10:12:05 1848921 Link 0 |

lobbing a high ball into the dublin back line was the most ridiclous tactic i have seen in a long time, listening to spillane too much. Dublin licked it up like a big bowl of ice cream heresam (Dublin) - Posts: 156 - 25/04/2016 10:21:08 1848932 Link 0 |
Good win if not a great performance from a Dublin point of view. Some played well, Kilkenny, McCarthy (as ever), O'Sullivan, and Brogan were all excellent. I thought Olaf's Byrne and Dean Rock had good games too. McMahon, Bastick and Paul Mannion were poor for me and will need to improve before summer comes. I wouldn't have Mannion starting on his performances to date come summer. Connolly and Flynn were okay but will need to improve also. The lads off the bench did well, especially Kev Mac. To be honest i was watching the game yesterday waiting to see how much Dublin would win by. tearintom (Wexford) - Posts: 1478 - 25/04/2016 10:25:02 1848937 Link 0 |
Croigorm, Dublin have full time coaching staff in every club, true how is that exaggeration?? Its fact, also players get a free car , so please what other county footballer gets them advantages? As I said that all been said they are best I have ever seen. royaldunne (Meath) - Posts: 19449 - 25/04/2016 10:25:47 1848939 Link 0 |
Although the ref didn't influence the game at all yesterday....I agree with fitzmaurice about donaghy point..... And its not just donaghy, any big man that's put in around the edge of the square, Aidan o Shea too, is subjected too a carte Blanche style of defending with tackling that would be 100% punished out the field. A foul is a foul no matter what size ya are, ridiculous stuff altogether... I can understand how these guys get frustrated. Didn't happen too much yesterday but last years semi final between dubs and Mayo was probably the most obvious example I have ever seen. Aidan O'Shea catches it and as soon as he lands three lads in punching and pulling and he gets done for over carrying. Needs to be addressed IMO. And its not singling out the dubs.....happens in every game, just using that game as example southmeathgael (Meath) - Posts: 972 - 25/04/2016 10:30:47 1848946 Link 0 |
