Game gone extremely flat since the red. No life to it at all. MesAmis (Dublin) - Posts: 13796 - 07/06/2015 15:08:22 1733527 Link 0 |
Certainly didn't see anything in it, I'd imagine the umpires told the ref that the Down player struck. Bad call and poor reaction from the Derry player lillyboy (Kildare) - Posts: 429 - 07/06/2015 15:09:22 1733528 Link 0 |
Surely the Derry man is more to blame than the referee, did he really need the doctor to come on and check him out after the Down man placing his hand on his jaw? The umpires will have seen this incident out of the corner of their eye and have been fooled into thinking it was a proper punch by the Derry players reaction, yet straight away the referee gets the blame and the diver gets away with no criticism. So almost decapitating someone is a yellow card but lightly pushing someone is a red? MesAmis (Dublin) - Posts: 13796 - 07/06/2015 15:11:12 1733530 Link 0 |
A year of training to be ruined by a umpire and a ref neither look fit to be involved as u12s officials OhtobeARossie (Roscommon) - Posts: 1794 - 07/06/2015 15:13:20 1733531 Link 0 |
why do we spend more time talking about referees these days than the action on the pitch? brendtheredhand (Tyrone) - Posts: 10897 - 07/06/2015 15:14:39 1733533 Link 0 |

Well done Derry. Just about deserved it. Down with some horrific shooting in second half petejoeduff (Donegal) - Posts: 329 - 07/06/2015 15:36:19 1733546 Link 0 |
Close game alright but not very good imo. MesAmis (Dublin) - Posts: 13796 - 07/06/2015 15:36:36 1733547 Link 0 |
Very poor quality second half. Derry don't look that great and they basically have 2 very good players and the rest of the teams are not great Armagh or Donegal (most likely Donegal) will destroy them in the semi final. uibhfhaili1986 (Offaly) - Posts: 1296 - 07/06/2015 15:39:16 1733548 Link 0 |

Officials are a bit of a joke in GAA nowadays. they have ruined many a game. I seen some really obvious fould not given in that game even though they were commited right under the refereee's nose. dangerous takles not punished severly enough and then a red card given for something the ref never seen but umpire in his wisdom thinks he knows what happened. There is nothing wrong with Gaelic Football apart from the officials not keeping pace with the game as it has developed. s goldrick (Cavan) - Posts: 5520 - 07/06/2015 16:40:35 1733571 Link 0 |
