Yes very 19th century. I think the GAA should invest in a state of the art computer system that will work out an algorithm that will solve the issue of choosing randomly between two options. It would have to be the latest 21st century technology mind. Also if we could have another computer system from independent assessors to oversee the choice. All proceedings need to be fully accountable and transparent.

All Kildare and Dublin championship matches since the 1990's have been in Croke Park. You may have been in Newbridge at an O'Byrne Cup game or a league game but you definitely were not at a championship game unless it was underage.

Home advantage didn't do ye any good today Bennybunny. 12 pt lead squandered. Oops

I know! It was like our previous meeting last August, one team hammering the other and Cork fans leaving early....there were some differences too I suppose!

Ye didn't mind Croke park a couple of weeks back when ye were playing us. Hope that's not a sign of things to come later in the year if we get that far.

Tis fair handy that Dublin have home advantage Saturday vrs Limerick. I mean Setanta can only show saturday matches and as they would already be set up for the football later in the evening, they can now also show the hurling. It's just a coincidence I am sure!!!

I think it's mad that the relegation match is not in a neutral venue. It's way too important to be conceding home advantage.

haha i doubt there was any toss
both counties must have been asked if they wanted it to go ahead in croker
handy for any parnell pass holders though as we would have had to pay into this game if it was held on its own
now we get into it free haha as we already have free entry to league rounds of football

Our NFL game with Cork moved back to 2:00pm (better for us) as Cork v Wexford *Hurling is on after. Should make for a decent crowd hopefully. We outnumbered the home support 4/1 the last two times we were down in Cork which is embarrassing when you consider the population of Cork. I assume the Cork support will go in early to support their footballers, they deserve it as they have a good team. Looking forward to the weekend, Cork is a great city.
