Young players to watch in 2015? Id suggest ye keep a close eye on the AFL. Many of the names mentioned so far -- McHugh, McBrearty, Spillane -- were at Tadgh Kennelly's recruitment drive for Aussie Rules this week!

Conor mc Hugh for us ,he was u21 footballer of the year last year, Brian fenton has been called into Squad (also u21 last year) he could be an addition for midfield for us and has two good feet, Emmet o Conghaile and Shane Carthy i hope are also challenging to make a mark next year .

That tongue in cheek? Honestly think he would be starting for ye and I'm sure any of the kerry lads who were at the minors games between 11 and 13 would agree.

Anyway, other players who haven't really featured in the seniors yet, Coleman kennedy would be a great addition but is in collage in America, Philip quirke also but he has been riddled with injuries the last few years, his brother Stephen quirke too, just out of minor. He was at the afl trials and kennelly was asked if anyone stood out on 2 fm last night and Stephen was the first name he mentioned

I'm a big admirer of Colin o'riordan I have said it on a couple of thread on here that I think he is one of the best wing backs in the country, I love if he was a Kerry player.

Ultan Harney(Roscommon)serious build for a 19 year old will get a chance this year Murtagh and Enda Smith to drive on aswel.
In other counties Spillane and Burns in Kerry also a very impressive kepper this year at minor level and in Dublin Shane Carthy

Its a numbers game , eventually and I mean eventually guys will get fed up not getting game time

I hope your right there when you look at players like McHugh if he was playing for other counties he'd be a shoe-in. We have both seen exceptionally talented young lads at Minor. Hurling for now seems to be picking up scraps - just wish some of those duel playing lads would see sense.

Ah I know we can't have him unfortunately :-( but If there was a transfer market in football he'd be top of my wish list . We're in good condition in the forwards but we could do with a little more cover in the backs.

Expect to hear a lot more of these 3 young lads in Tipp. Got some league time this year but may feature prominently in 2015. There well known in Tipp at the minute from Minor & U.21 teams.

Liam McGrath
Ronan Maher
Niall O'Meara

Not sure I'd agree with you Wild Pundit. We were lucky the group we had that came at the one time back in 09/10.

The only young player we have that can match them I think would be John Meagher who has had a lot of injuries

I'm with an earlier Donegal poster who nominated Eoin McHugh & Stephen McBrearty.

He is no spring chicken but the lad for Kerry who I think could have a big impact is Jonathon Lyne, has been thereabouts the last few years but injuries has curtailed him

The one non Kerry lad I have always looked out for is Kyle Coney for Tyrone. Not sure at this stage if he will live up to his underage talent.
