Armagh's gameplan will be simple. They will retreat in big numbers to the 50, get men behind the ball and force a turnover. They will then try and break quickly before Meath can get numbers back. How will Meath counteract this? I think Armagh will win by 3-5 points. JP91 (Armagh) - Posts: 316 - 30/07/2014 13:01:14 1628425 Link 0 |
I just feel the management and team will raise their game and arnagh could be in for a long afternoon. royaldunne (Meath) - Posts: 19449 - 30/07/2014 14:40:56 1628486 Link 0 |
Come on forever. Get behind the team man. royaldunne (Meath) - Posts: 19449 - 30/07/2014 14:46:34 1628495 Link 0 |
If Meath play to their potential, they can click, score goals and beat teams well. But it also can go the other way and we get the odd hammering like the Leinster Final due to tactical naivety. Apart from Clarke, who certainly is one of the best forwards around, Meath shouldn't have a lot to fear. What I would fear is that McGeeney and Grimley will have a system to deal with us while we are 2 dimensional in our approach. Dyas and Tony Kernan are good but perhaps big game experience in Croke Park will also help Meath. Playing in Croker should slight favour Meath, but Armagh certainly do have the momentum. Really is 50-50, a referring decision or a small error will tip the balance. proevo (Meath) - Posts: 296 - 30/07/2014 15:34:49 1628543 Link 0 |

Ciaran McKeever is a big loss to Armagh Former_Poster (Meath) - Posts: 394 - 30/07/2014 18:24:05 1628653 Link 0 |
Yeah its looking like Armagh needn't show up at this stage. Walkover for Meath. Dessie_Cross (Armagh) - Posts: 145 - 30/07/2014 18:25:19 1628655 Link 0 |

The stats for the 6/7 day turn around are very much in favour of the qualifier team, so the extra week will work to Meath's advantage. However, that defeat to Dublin probably will have a lasting effect on the young heads. Armagh going about their business in a good manner and to win this, just. Is Keiran McKeever out?? Lot of rumours circulating. Would be serious blow to Armagh as he is one of their very few go to men! Brolly (Monaghan) - Posts: 4472 - 31/07/2014 15:21:02 1628980 Link 0 |
The worrying thing from a meath point of view is they completely ran out of legs with 20mins to go against Kildare and after 25mins against Dublin. I don't think they have a mobility around the middle that you need to play in Croke park O'Rourke, Meade just don't have the legs for midfield Gillespie is a real big loss for them. jacktheDub (Dublin) - Posts: 944 - 31/07/2014 15:34:11 1628985 Link 0 |
Meath without a fair few lads too. Don't think it makes difference. The teams are pretty even but meath just have that bit more up front if Newman or Reilly click meath will win. royaldunne (Meath) - Posts: 19449 - 31/07/2014 17:43:33 1629070 Link 0 |
Cannot see anything other than an Armagh victory. MesAmis (Dublin) - Posts: 13792 - 31/07/2014 18:00:49 1629085 Link 0 |
Here's hoping Royaldunne that you collect on that bet. OntheWhiteSide (Kildare) - Posts: 452 - 31/07/2014 21:36:32 1629216 Link 0 |
With Mckeever ruled out with a foot injury i would have to make Meath favourites now. He is THE key player for us, leader of the defence and team overall. ArmaghAndProud (Armagh) - Posts: 35 - 01/08/2014 09:18:06 1629244 Link 0 |
