Sure they all had a great day out didnt they??????
New york would be better off trying to at least get americans to play the game and stop paying lads to come over.

Maybe the game could be played on a Saturday evening as Gaelic Park has lights and the crowd from Ireland could fly back on Sunday. NY were ok but could not compete in the same standard as A.I. contenders. I must say it reminded me a bit of the beating Galway took from Mayo last May. I wonder will this give NY something to look forward to next year perhaps, I think it's Galway's turn to travel to America.

Great week in NYC.....just a pity like all holidays you gotta come home to rain, negative talk and of course as a write this Liverpool loosing out on the title.

On the NY fixture, what a weekend and occasion. gaelic park was packed and the only downside was they had no stewards controlling the crowds. A lad over there said they never saw such a large travelling support come over and maybe were caught out a bit but it was well documented Mayo were travelling in huge numbers. As for the game itself here is nothing to say really. We were comfortable without actually playing great and Quigley from Laois is some player and a big loose to Laois. The real work in NY seems to be done at underage level. And I did witness a high quality ladies game earlier in the day. It's more than just a fixture and I hope it continues and hopefully in the future we see more american born players on the NY team instead of mercerises from Ireland.
