I haven't read all your posts but home advantage is proven to be just that, an advantage, in the majority of sports all around the world. Whether it is a mental thing or not is irrelevant. Its there and it effects teams at the very highest level, even those who are mentally stronger than most and have the best coaching and psychology available to them. I don't understand why people find this so hard to accept.
it is relevant if its a mental thing extremly relevant as it proves there is no physical advantage therefore its not an advantage at all if a team has the correct mindframe which duly comes down to the managment team its there job to have the players minds correct and believe they can win if you go out on the pitch with an attitude that its going to be harder to win today simply for no other reason than a train of thaught then your going to be feeling sorry for yourself and lose your battle with the man your marking and in your own mind feel this is exceptable simply because of where the match is being played. if you do all the training and are in match day condition then what differance is it if the match is at home , away , in a neutral venue or being played with nobody watching there is absolutly no physical advantage to any sports team
A mental advantage leads to a physical advantage in almost every scenario. The peasants of Leinster don't all get million euro sponsorship deals that pays for top class psychologists.
Also stop embarrassing yourself with things like how many times have Dublin lost outside Croker. In croker you've hammered the majority of Leinster teams. Outside it you've won a lot of games closely. Proving my point and it's what I said. You'll prob still win them but it will be much more competitive and exciting.
Dublin have scraped through many a great match outside CP. Louth, Longford two teams you'd hammered in croker park brought you very close in Navan and Longford. Kerry beat you in the quarters but in fairness to kerry they'd be one of the few teams that prob play better in HQ.
I Never thought I would see the day when MEATH supporters would quibble so much about the Dubs and where we play etc. etc. etc..... This would never have happened in the Sean Boylan glory days.. Sign of the times really I suppose. Amusing to say the least.
We have lost once in 40 years outside croker They can't have been much advantage to them county's We didn't have psychologist or sponsorship in them days maybe we just believe we can win anywhere where the rest didn't believe in themselves
