An obvious pundit for hurling would be Niall Quinn as he is a former hurler who is known to sky viewers already.

Donal Og would be a good shout for any GAA program. But we'll most likely get a populist clown of which there are so many to chose from.

Sky sports has a irish female presenter think she's from Dublin she will be host. Will we see robbie Keane signing for the dubs and saying it's his boy hood dream to play for them like he's done at every single club he's played for that would be funny.

I would see them using faces that are familiar to a British audience like Niall Quinn, Kevin Moran & Seamus Coleman along with a few "photogenic" GAA bucks. Combine that with cutting edge technology & Marty will be sweating.

They will probably go after the guys out of the job in tv3. Canavan would be a great addition. he is arguably the best analyst out there. Well informed, has been involved in the game up until quite recently, tactically very aware, well able to debate points, and has the ability to put his overall point accross succently without rambling. He is also pretty unbiased. In fact, rte should be replacing brolly with him.

Senan Connell isnt bad either. He is well able to talk, is well spoken and tries to be as objective as possible. I would imagine they will go for a guy from each province. Maybe poach martin carney and a n other from munster?

The anchor will be a tougher one to call. I cant see the Wyse girl in that role, she may be involved alright but not in that capacity.

Not messing, watch this space, Evanne Ni Cuillean WILL be on Sky sooner rather than later (apologies for spelling!)
Rachel Wyse and prob one of the TG4 Weather girls!

Hurling - Gizzy Lynge, Donal Og, Sean Og or maybe someone like Ollie Canning or DJ Carey
Football - Jason Sherlock, Darragh O'Se, Mick O'Dwyer and Padraig Joyce. If not Micko I could see Joe Kernan trying it.

Guest panelists then like Shane Long, Niall Quinn, Kevin Moran and Neil Lennon.

Good shout on moran. Personally, I think people are thinking too much like the way they do soccer. Will it even be done in england? Would the likes of coleman or long being allowed away from their clubs?

The only problem with some of the names you mention is that the average British punter would not be able to make out a word they were saying!!!

Jesus Lads, i just had a thought....genuinely.....Off the Ball/Second Captains lads to SKY GAA ????
Ken would want to start reading up!!

All of those 3 are fairly boring to listen to at the best of times. Let's go for Geraghty, Galvin, Joyce and maybe Brian McGuigan too.

I suppose if Paul Merson can get away with it anyone can.

Actually that is a very good program Sky have on during the games on Sat with the panel of Merson, Phil Thompson, Charlie Nicholas & MattT LeTissier all commenting on different games. Hugely entertaining & as a format would work well during the summer for TV3 if they can't show live games
