Ulsterman , it was accidental. Crokes weren't playing a crowd from Dublin, Meath or the North.

Now now beal, don't be like that. I still have the 2012 final on sky+ where Mayo tried to strong arm their way to an All Ireland until Maurice Deegan put a stop to their gallop. Enough said.

I was at the game ulsterman and I have to say without a doubt it was an accident, just unfortunate IMO.

Your right but the like of Ulsterman would love if he was taken out so he could give out about a southern team taking a player out. In his mind if Ballinderry or Cross etc had done this, there would be uproar. Conspiracy Theories and all that.

Spot on. Totally predictable and totally inaccurate. That is the thing with having your conclusion ready and then adding in that facts to suit, it rarely is in touch with reality.

Gooch- Out for the season?

Reports he's done his cruciate. Major blow to Kerry if true. He was exceptional in that withdrawn role last year.

Bad blow for Kerry and the Championship in general.

Hopefully he'll be able to regain full fitness and entertain us all again.

Fairly gutting from a neutral point of view. He was the only thing that made me watch any football last year. Thought he would trive this year as the defenders are scared to tackle at the moment. Had Kerry at no. 1 for Sam, I could name 4 teams ahead of them now.

Not to be negative but it will be difficult to come back from that. He'll be 32 by the time he next features in an AI and this type of injury can have long lasting effects. Very sad news that we may not get to see the Gooch in his prime play again, especially disappointing after his brilliant AI last season. The greatest footballer I've ever seen. Lets all hope he recovers fully and swiftly.

Desperate news for Cooper and for Kerry GAA

To be honest... it'll be a poorer game without him involved

We've had some terrible injuries to key players ourselves in the last 16 months

You just have to get on with it

Here's to a speedy recovery

Ya Cooper is out for the rest of the year. Will miss the championship. Ruptured his cruciate. Massive loss to Kerry. Hate to say it but that maybe Kerry's season over.

I don't follow football a lot but I must admit whenever Kerry are playing TV is always on his a joy to watch.

Met him a few times in Killarney as he regularly pops into my in laws business down there and his such a gent.

A giant on the pitch but a gent off the pitch.

Best wishes to him hope he has a speedy recovery and we will see him grace the fields of play once again in 2015.

I have to say, beating Kerry without the Gooch wouldn't quite feel the same, I hope this doesn't finish him, we need players like Cooper!
