Gooch injury?

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

Ok I apologise if I started the thread off whatever way you say, lads I've had a million dead legs playing football and the first thing you do after you get a dead leg is get up and try and run it off, surely if it was a dead leg the Gooch in such a massive game would have tried to run it off ? For me Gooch new straight away that it was so serious he couldn't continue.

Kerry74 that's great news delighted to hear that and very surprised it's only bruising.

Not a good idea to try and "run off" a bad dead leg. Can do more damage. Sounds like it was some sort of dead leg/bruising/contusion. Hope this is confirmed by Crokes and/or Kerry and we see Cooper back in a Kerry jersey before long.

Why would I be bitterly disappointed? I love watching the Gooch I started a thread a few months ago calling him the greatest.

What's the verdict, was Gooch targeted and taken out? It did look a tad worse than 'accidental' and I thought there would have been more discussion on this.

Ulsterman , it was accidental. Crokes weren't playing a crowd from Dublin, Meath or the North.

Glad to hear it looks like better news...

It would have been a terrible injury to pick up at this stage of his career

30 years old with that kind of injury it's career threatening

He doesn't deserve that... far far from it

No one does. All the best to him..

I was at the game ulsterman and I have to say without a doubt it was an accident, just unfortunate IMO.

Your right but the like of Ulsterman would love if he was taken out so he could give out about a southern team taking a player out. In his mind if Ballinderry or Cross etc had done this, there would be uproar. Conspiracy Theories and all that.
