No way was that a dead leg he was holding his knee front and back which is never a good sign.

Wouldn't rule it out. Didn't see him holding his knee. It was hard to tell from the camera angle but it looked more like a contact injury. I just wouldn't be jumping to the conclusion it's ACL like some fellas seem to be.

Did anyone think referees in both semi finals were poor?they were missing obvious frees then given frees for nothing

The guy makes Kerry tick

The wins that Dublin have had over Kerry this decade were all the more significant knowing that he was on the pitch and with him playing so well...

It makes those wins far more substantial...

As a fan you want victories to be special

Those are the days you day dream about and remember...

That's what the likes of Cooper brings to the game

All the very best to Colm Cooper... We all want him on the pitch in 2014

Let's look at it this way, if Cooper had waited a second more before pulling the trigger, he would have won a penalty as the casrlebar midfielder was no way close to making a block from the angle he was coming in at and cut him in half. That was therefore,an intentional body collide And should have resulted in a black card under the new rules. Cooper was taken ou of the game clear and simple and the ref bottled it

Clonduckin Quack…….but it looks like he done his cruciate to me …….….he was holding his knee front and back which is never a good sign.
Now he's a knee specialist. I have a dodgy knee myself. Would you ever take a look? I'll be in Dublin on Paddy's Day, again during the Summer and in September.
Speedy recovery Gooch

Don't know what your problem is pcworld it's only an opinion I'm not saying I'm right but it definitely isn't a dead leg. I'm not the only one whose had an opinion on it so chill out lad.

Why are you so dismissive of the idea it's a dead leg? Dead legs always involve heavy impact, ACL tears are usually (not always) non-contact. It was very hard to tell with Coopers injury, sometimes it's pretty obvious, even on TV- Andy Moran's ACL tear for example, Donal Ogs achilles tear also.

Clondalkin you started the thread like a prophet of doom with your cruciate prognosis and then reiterated the gloomy outlook in your second jeremiad. All you had to do was wish the great player a speedy recovery.

Looked very much like a medial injury to me. Hope he recovers soon as players like him light up the championship and if it was a medial injury he'd be back in 4 to 6 weeks.
