Horrible to hear that jimbodub (Dublin) - Posts: 20763 - 15/02/2014 15:38:09 1546427 Link 0 |
I didn't see it but if it was his ACL it will be hard to see him come back near last seasons levels now that he's in his 30s. It's a horrible injury, one of the worst in sport, and it can have long lasting effects and re occur. Fingers crossed it's just something small, you want to see the greatest players play as much as possible even if they're not for your county. Was only half-watching at the time but he was on his feet so I presumed it wasn't too bad. Though what do I know about cruciate injuries (very little). MichaelO (Tyrone) - Posts: 820 - 15/02/2014 16:17:52 1546438 Link 0 |
Mmm... Possibly ACL but it seemed more like a bad impact injury than the twist or giving way you'd see with the cruciate. Having said all that TG4 cameras didn't really catch it very well. Not all knee injuries are cruciate though- lot of other stuff in there to damage! roundball (Tipperary) - Posts: 2514 - 15/02/2014 16:24:10 1546440 Link 0 |
Crokes threw away chances, Castlebar were a bit better no doubt but the tackle on Cooper seemed intentional on the telly???? If so that is disgraceful, hard to debate when the top player gets TAKEN OUT so blatantly!!!!!!! lostintime (USA) - Posts: 533 - 15/02/2014 16:26:42 1546444 Link 0 |
Bad knee knock I would say, no serious damage I am told but the hit was illegal and planned!!!! lostintime (USA) - Posts: 533 - 15/02/2014 16:28:06 1546445 Link 0 |
Hate to see anyone injured, but copper could have been black-carded moments earlier cuchulainn35 (Armagh) - Posts: 1688 - 15/02/2014 16:28:06 1546446 Link 0 |

No way was the intentional so you may give that over , complete accident. clondalkindub (Dublin) - Posts: 9926 - 15/02/2014 16:34:47 1546453 Link 0 |
Would ye cop on lads. The Castlebar lad went in to block the ball. These things happen. I hope he's not badly hurt. icehonesty (Wexford) - Posts: 2573 - 15/02/2014 16:35:42 1546454 Link 0 |
Well okay since ye say it was a blocking attempt that was accidental, as I had hoped, until another neutral friend at the match told me that it looked venomous to him. Then I will drop my sword and say may the hits continue. We can simply turn a blind eye to these coincidental occurrences, no problem. lostintime (USA) - Posts: 533 - 15/02/2014 16:49:08 1546461 Link 0 |

No way was that a dead leg he was holding his knee front and back which is never a good sign. clondalkindub (Dublin) - Posts: 9926 - 15/02/2014 17:25:03 1546475 Link 0 |
The illuminati would have been less obvious , no? Ah well, maybe I am wrong here, I hope. I hate to see players go around and deliberately commit such fouls. lostintime (USA) - Posts: 533 - 15/02/2014 17:26:47 1546478 Link 0 |
