Inniskeen have Mark Counihan from Truagh. Donaghmoyne still without a manager. Killanny still without a manager and looks like they will be fighting with Donaghmoyne for Reel Monaghansclown (Monaghan) - Posts: 189 - 04/01/2017 10:18:12 1942982 Link 0 |

Just interested on everyone's views on the shelf life of club managers these days. Many seem to only last one year unless something is won or something significant such as promotion is achieved during the year. It's rare to see a manager stay a few years in the one job, I would personally feel that to build something successful a manager would need a couple of year's? Mattie Mc Gleenan stayed a few years with Scotstown and it proved really successful for them just wondering if other clubs will try follow suit. Or it could possibly down to the commitment and time involved with it, would be interested to see what others think or have experienced? sporto (Monaghan) - Posts: 181 - 04/01/2017 16:02:52 1943056 Link 0 |
Is that the same aghamullen lads that were over toome Is there many clubs still on the look out Cuppa (Monaghan) - Posts: 159 - 04/01/2017 21:37:54 1943125 Link 0 |
Most clubs have a limited pick of players and I rarely see managers that stay on change up the team/tactics each year. Therefore, it makes more sense to change managers to someone who might change it up and actually find the tactics that work for that team.

Yeah it's one of the Mc geoughs that was with us. The younger brother i think. Finnegan worked with Toome that year too. From what I hear he's a top trainer. Loads of teams still on the lookout. Was speaking to a inniskeen player and he had no word of counihan heading up there.... hoey I think is the frontrunner for that job. Ud think there would be interest in that job as they still have to be counted as one of the favourites for promotion. stvictor (Monaghan) - Posts: 61 - 07/01/2017 20:45:21 1943851 Link 0 |

Bad move for Doohamlet.. had an excellent manager in McAnenley and he had bad luck with McGinn injury.
