None of the cork or clare fans could have possibly made it back for the saturday game. It's probaly the best game in the last 15 years why wouldn't they show it before a football game? This is nothing against ladies football (If there was 80,000 at it i would pick it over the men's football any day) it's just the fact that if the hurling match wasn't on first i defineltly wouldn't have watched it. I agree with the above posters! Its not as appealing as the hurling or even the mens game! no disrespect Villatown (Leitrim) - Posts: 902 - 30/09/2013 17:16:45 1492202 Link 0 |
I agree with the above posters! no disrespect but the hurling was better then any of the ladies games yesderday. Villatown (Leitrim) - Posts: 902 - 30/09/2013 17:18:58 1492206 Link 0 |
Its sad but its true. Six counties involved in football finals for ladies and still Croke park was mostly empty. Obviously not too many cork fans stayed on for the ladies match. Probably half the crowd were related to the girls playing in some way. Its just not got the same general appeal as the mens game. jpcampion (Laois) - Posts: 194 - 30/09/2013 17:42:39 1492248 Link 0 |
I was highly impressed with the young lady from Dublin who was analysing the Ladies Football, I could have watched her all night long :) gilly0512 (Galway) - Posts: 1176 - 30/09/2013 18:01:54 1492261 Link 0 |
Awh stop Gilly you can say that again ;) waynoI (Dublin) - Posts: 13654 - 30/09/2013 18:02:48 1492267 Link 0 |
Likewise gilly, I was highly impressed with the Tipp camogie pundit! Snufalufagus (Dublin) - Posts: 8100 - 30/09/2013 18:05:41 1492270 Link 0 |
The analysis of the ladies game on RTE was a complete cop out. They never even referred to Gregory McGonigles questioning of the referees decision to sin bin Elaine McKenna and they blatantly ignored the fact that a team that had been beaten twice in what is essentially a knockout competition was still able to go on and win it. I applaud the ladies footballers & would give them every encouragement. They are an integral part of the GAA and long may it remain so. MuckrossHead (Donegal) - Posts: 5028 - 30/09/2013 18:41:01 1492316 Link 0 |
