Why have minor commentary in Irish?

if_in_doubt for sam!

Ormond, will you point blank deny this, without providing any reasoning, despite obvious proof of the opposite? - Like you usually do...

If In Doubt, Brilliant detective work. You have lifted the veil on this charlatan.
drop the name calling son. I don't think I have ever interacted with you in my time on this site. you don't know me and I didn't take the above off a website. I took it from notes I have from school

First of all Ormo I admire your dedication, even when knowingly in the wrong.

Secondly, unless I'm mistaken, the following which you posted and claimed as your own

You have the cheek to think I copied and pasted something when I did not. I took it from my notes I received in school. Also you have the cheek to lecture me on what ive posted and you don't even have the decency to spell my name correct. my username is Ormond. nothing shorter than that. cant you have the decency to do something that ive asked here multiple times before

So instead of copying it and pasting it, you re-typed it? Apologies ormond. They are clearly two totally different things that mean the fact that you claimed to remember it from school even after being called on it, is fully acceptable...

Actually it's ormondbannerman...

Anyway ormondbannerman, I have a question for you - why should we learn irish?

Here is something you wrote earlier link
Remember, dont copy and paste it and you will be ok!

In the interest of inclusion, integration and assimilation, commentary should be available in all the official languages of the EU and in the mother tongue of all the new Irish. We're all Europeans now ...it's what we fought for and voted for (twice).

You feel that Gaelic has been imposed on you?
Don't you think that English has been imposed on Gaels?

I know my own username and what I have been saying is f you are going to shorten my username shorten it to Ormond not anything else.
I typed something from school. CnPing it is quite different to typing it. I didn't know where the notes I have from school came from other than from my teacher.

Getting back to the topic: it's instructive to see that some posters feel that Irish-language commentary is being 'imposed' on them. There are just six fixtures in the entire championship season broadcast as Gaeilge, none of which are senior fixtures, yet we see fellas cribbing and moaning about it! 3e had an English version of the minor commentary on for a fixture last year, maybe that's the way to go.

bannerman, so you copied it from a sheet of paper rather than a word document... Well that makes it so different!

You have been caught rotten here, do yourself a favour and stop digging...

I don't think 3e having the game commentated in English was a good idea. I think its good to stick with tradition in some things and commentary of minor games is a great tradition that should be kept

What is different about copying something via typing it, or copying something using the copy and paste function on your pc? Besides the time it takes... Are you actually trying to make this argument? Are you for real?!

I hope you didnt take this approach with your thesis ormy!

There is a difference as I took them from notes I have had since before I did the LC in 2009 and it wasn't just me googling and using the first random article I found
I am for real. Don't be so arrogant to dismiss me for how I have been posting

Ormond, the point is you copied them, not whether you used control C on a key board or not. You copied some article and passed it off as your own in an attempt to sound intelligent, that is what people are referring to...

I have no doubt you are aware of this, you are just trying to brazen it out, like you did when if_in_doubt called you on it. Again, people would take you a bit more seriously if you didnt treat them like idiots... I mean, you are trying to pretend there is a difference between writing out notes you were given, and copying notes in microsoft word. Do you actually think people are buying this? Genuinely, do you?

Journalism Lesson 1: Do not take other peoples work and claim it as your own. Always reference your sources.
