Any Good GAA Books?

Ciaran Murphy has a decent book. Can't think of the name of it. About his life playing with Miltown in Galway and then to the club in Dublin plus his work as a journalist and then podcasts.

Replying To BarneyGrant:  "Almost no good GAA books published these days. Poorly Ghost written hagiographies and tired old anecdotes.

Try some of the classics like Brendán Ó hÉithir's Over the Bar."
Just bought it now. It is difficult to get some of these classics. Is there a GAA book shop in Croke park that sells them or do they just get lost in time once out of production?

Read Philly McMahon's book recently. It's not your bog standard GAA autobiography. I found it an interesting read. Lots about growing up in Ballymun and the challenges that brought, including his brothers battle with drug addiction.
Makes you appreciate the simple things in life which I too often overlook!

A great read. As somebody who grew up on Northside of Dublin, I was lucky to have a family support around me to help me avoid those pitfalls but I too know people who were not so lucky.

Just started reading "Unlimited Heartbreak" about Limerick hurling.

Give you a very good insight into why they never pushed on during the 70s/80s.
