people say the whole donegal holding onto a lead defending and dublin all out attack to get back at them
but what i would be more fascinated with would be if dublin got ahead right from the start and went 4 or 5 points up
then we will find out what donegal are able to do football wise, will they have a plan b,they didnt in 2011 when they went two points down

I think that they only might meet each other this year. Mayo and Kerry are waiting in the long grass for the rest of us, untested and well rested.

51longago, Kerry v Mayo final, be carefull what you wish for I'd suggest, yous haven't fared to well against the kingdom in previous AI Finals or semin finals for that matter, and there is nothing in this mayo team to suggest it will be any different this time around IMO

Can only remember two semis with Kerry in my time, 1996 we beat them and in 2011 we lost.

Dublin have a quarter final to prepare for first

And if they don't improve from that poor display against Meath especially in midfield and defence, They wont get much further especially if they come up against Cork or Tyrone (Which im sure they will)

Some off the topics started by Donegal fans smacks off arrogance, we have only ever won 2 all Irelands

If we play the we did against Down we well be going the qualifier route, you would think we only had to turn up to beat Monaghan

Monaghan will hit us hard and hit us often, with a lot of donegal players not fully fit we could have to call on our bench, which does weaken our team. I can see only a few points in it either way come sunday

We seriously need to improve if we want to make it as far as the semis, but I think we will. Dublin weren't too impressive at the weekend either and I thought Kerry looked very dangerous and clinical against Cork so they are probably the form team in the country.

People need to lose this perception of Donegal as the anti-football side that took to the field against Dublin in 2011. I was more disgusted at how we played that day than anyone as I felt if we could have taken them playing a more open game with the same great attitude to hard work. But I was equally as proud last year we when we played some great football against all the big teams, which seems to be forgot. The memories are still fresh from the Down game which was a bad game in bad conditions. Down adopted a very defensive approach so what were Donegal supposed to do! I expect much of the same against Monaghan but with everyone back fit for the quarters I doubt Jim will fail to see that the ball should go into McFadden-Murphy-McBrearty, he's a fairly clever lad!

One of the myths/lies spouted by pundits and media alike. From a man thats always there, never heard Mayo supporters claiming we were going to win Sam in the context portrayed by you and others. Nothing could be further from the truth, we are a negative bunch in the main, of course the tongue in cheek stuff will be posted in here (guilty*) but thats just muckin about.

------------------------------------------------

Nonsense it's guys like you that fuel the Mayo hype any song(s) out yet or cars painted? no matter how many finals you lose you stil expect to win the All Ireland. Just look at the current odds huge money (mostly from Mayo) has been placed on Mayo i know one Mayo supporter here in the good old USA that put 5,000 dollars on Mayo to win Sam and the media in Ireland are building Mayo up to knock you down!

Negative bunch muckin about, yeah right thats the real myths/lies.

As opposed to the scintillating football played by Meath. Have ye stopped celebrating not being slaughtered by Dublin yet?

No they don't, they just had to meet the mighty Monaghan men! Donegal tactics were laid bare yesterday..... all they have ever done is to get in front and remain in front by cynical, negative and spoiling tactics backed up by muscle and braun. However we all wondered what would happen if the opposing team went ahead by 4 to 5 points, what then for Donegal? Plan B has never been witnessed and by the looks of it on Sunday there is no Donegal Plan B, they do not know how to come from behind and win....your card has been marked o Mighty Jim McGuninness and co.
