if laois had of been drwn at home to wexford i would say they would have made it a double header in portloaise with kildare v tyrone

i guarantee you they would have sedico as if they moved kildare v limerick to portlaoise they would surely have eyed portlaoise as a double header

This is going to be pretty special I think, regardless of the result. Can't remember when we last had such a big game in Newbridge.

I think its a good enough draw at the end of the day if Kildare managed to spring a surprise the confidence going into round 4 would be great with the incentive of playing Meath in croker to play for.If they were to lose no shame in going out to Tyrone and this young Kildare team will have learnt a lot from it.

delighted its in newbridge massive help there's no doubt home advantage is worth a couple of points! unfair on tyrone fans having to make the journey 7 is a late throw in but im sure the fact its on tv had something to do with that

Why have Kildare never developed a proper Stadiun for themselves, plenty of land and money there

I think this is a game between two overhyped teams who are at a middle ground. Kildare have shown to be too good for 23 or 24 teams, but not good enough for the elite 5 or 6. Tyrone could be similar from what I've seen, with too much being read into their league form. I think Tyrone will win this, but do not be that surprised if either of them lose to Meath.

I dont know where your going with 'overhyped' nobody ever in kildare or tyrone said they would win the all Ireland this year.

Weather for next weekend is predicted to be very warm so this game could come down to the bench and sensible use of subs. It could go either way and probably depends on which Tyrone turns up. If the play like they did against Dublin Tyrone will win but if they repeat Roscommon Kildare will beat them with some to spare. Should be a good atmosphere down horsey way.

i dont understand why people say kildare are overhyped,by who ?
they quite rightly are in the top top teams they have made last 4 or 5 all ireland quarter finals and were in the national league semi finals this year so they are consitently in the top 8 teams.
tyrone won 3 all irelands in the last decade and have rebuild in the last couple of years and have a new young side and made a league final so again are another top 8 side.facts dont lie

I don't know how anyone thinks this will be a close game or that Kildare will actually win...people seem to have very short memories. its not too long ago that Kildare played offaly and only won by 4 points, tyrone then play offaly and beat them by 22 points!! theres not even a comparison there between the two teams, I know tyrone played poorly against Roscommon but they wont play that bad again. Kildare have seriously gone back in the last year or two and I hope im wrong as Id prefer us to play Kildare but I don't think they will be able to put it up to tyrone. in saying that its no disrespect to Kildare because im worried too about the prospect of playing that tyrone team, when they get going theyl be very hard to stop. i just think a lot of people are underestimating tyrone because of that game against Roscommon so im glad they have to play another game before playing us so that we will know exactly what were up against.

Crazy that the game isn't in Croke Park. Joined up thinking seems to be missing. Earlier in the year games like Monaghan v Meath played in Croke Park with an attendance of 8,000. Now games like Kildare v Tyrone which could easily get 35,000 not in Croke Park.
