If it's moved the choice of alternate venue should be left up to Kildare, i.e. Portlaoise

That's rubbish...

There have been rumours this morning that Kildare could lose their home advantage but the GAA have confirmed that this is not the case as things stand.

"Kildare received a home draw so as it stands the game will take place in Newbridge," a GAA spokesperson confirmed to Independent.ie.

This is not a tough draw for Tyrone what have Kildare done got hammered
by Dublin scraped over Offally and Louth Mickey Harte is not going to
be shaken in his boots thinking about Kildare Tyrone are more skilful
Kildare are all brawn Tyrone by 4points

I don't really care where this game's played at but if Newbridge wasn't able to cater for kildare v limerick last year how could it possibly be big enough for kildare Tyrone?

Clones would be the obvious choice here for all concerned including the GAA coffers

How can a league game between the sides not be held in Newbridge, yet a make or break championship game can ?

We'll be at home and rightly so.

The GAA fixture makers love to contradict themselves.

If it couldnt take KEvLK last year, then how could it hold KE v LH this year.

And if Louth were allowed hold home adv in drogheda v wex, then Kildare will be allowed hold it in Newbridge id imagine.

And getting held up and robbed at gun point makes best financial sense for both parties too I suppose.

navan would be a good compromise. It can hold over 30000. But Kildare have already ceded a home draw at the start of the league to play in croke park. so twice in the same year is too big an ask imo.

Navans capacity is only about 15'000 at the moment.

Kildare shouldn't have to give up home advantage, just like Donegal stood firm on Ballbofey.

Donegalman, bit rich coming from you that we should give up home advantage against Tryone considering how hard ye fought to keep your game against the same Tyrone in Ballybofey. Newbridge was nowhere near full on saturday and with the game likely to be televised it should be ok for this game as well. We also gave up home advantage against Donegal in the league so we are due a break now surely.

i think the game will remain in newbridge
if laois had of been drwn at home to wexford i would say they would have made it a double header in portloaise with kildare v tyrone
