Jack McCaffrey right now should be favourite for YPOTY, he has been incredible, one of our best players. Kilkenny being favourite is a perfect example of how forwards get way more recognition because he hasn't been nearly as good as Jack so far. Well we've no full back now so Kerry should drift out. Toss of a coin between Donegal, Dublin and Mayo at the moment. Cute_Kerry_Hoor (Kerry) - Posts: 2518 - 01/07/2013 14:41:34 1420537 Link 0 |
McCaffrey at 5/2 ain't bad but Mannion 7/1 for POTY is the value bet. Anyone have a list of the top scorers in the championship so far? I reckon B. Brogan at 9/2 is good value even though his form has been poor so far. CaisleanCnucha (Dublin) - Posts: 1379 - 01/07/2013 14:47:06 1420547 Link 0 |

I agree Mannion at 7:1 for young player of the year is very good. Excellent young footballer. xxx (Mayo) - Posts: 1275 - 01/07/2013 15:03:19 1420584 Link 0 |
God I can't believe Brogan is so short. I think he has had a poor summer to date so far. In fairness though it's usually decided by whoever plays well in the last 3 games so still time for Brogan to turn it on gotmilk (Fermanagh) - Posts: 4971 - 01/07/2013 15:11:28 1420600 Link 0 |

The bookies seem to be pricing up the predicated winners of the four provinces Donegal, Dublin, Mayo and Kerry as favourities for the semi-finals. This rarely happens and may give encoragement to Cork or Tyrone. Byanthon (Tyrone) - Posts: 1792 - 01/07/2013 17:17:51 1420816 Link 0 |
Seems hard to believe 11/4 Kilkenny to win the All Ireland. 11/1 Dublin and Kilkenny might be very big come September kikfada (Louth) - Posts: 2091 - 01/07/2013 17:21:58 1420824 Link 0 |
Has there ever been a team 1/500 to win a game? 51longago (Mayo) - Posts: 2981 - 01/07/2013 17:53:51 1420880 Link 0 |

How they have Kerry shorter odds than Mayo is beyond me, are you telling me that the current Kerry team and management of Eamon Fitzmaurice is stonger than the Mayo setup, no chance. Now neither side holds the favourites tag at present with that going to Dublin but in my opinion the winner will most definitely come from either Dublin, Donegal or Mayo, they have all the attributes of an All Ireland winning team end of. sugar.daddy (Mayo) - Posts: 85 - 01/07/2013 18:07:27 1420901 Link 0 |
