Kerry v Cork

Embarrassing first half. If there isn't a huge improvement in Cork's display 2nd half then Counihan should walk away. No drive, no spirit, dreadful tactics. Thanks be to God I was unable to travel. Having said all that it would be churlish not to acknowledge how good Kerry are.

Kerry apparently had 21 shots in that half. Not wanting to overly simplify it but it is definitely another bulky side being overrun by their nippier ball-playing opponents. The message seems to be clear this summer, speed up!

Well that's Kerry back in the mix, as if they never were, ha! Cork poor but Kerry are moving very nicely!

That first half has fairly put the cat amongt the pigeons!!
All of a sudden Dublin's untroubled march to Croke Park on the 3rd Sunday doesn't look so assured.

Very poor 1st half, never saw such a poor display of shooting. Brutal!

Kerry looking very fresh and impressive here, disgraceful decision by referee Duffy against the Gooch

The bottom line is that Kerry are being made to look good which is so annoying. Sure why would Cork worry too much, sure in Munster they get a bye to the fourth round of the qualifiers anyway. Just have to wait to see who Kerry get in the Q.Fs. Hopefully Derry, Tyrone. A county that won't lie down. Embarrassing to see skerry get it given to them. They're an ordinary enough side, being made look good.

Anyone who wrote Kerry in the first half where braindead. And that's being nice.

Kerry are still amongst the best in the country.

Only Dublin, Kerry or Donegal .. possibly Mayo , Can possibly win the all Ireland

Scrappy second half, Kerry have taken their foot off the pedal & allowed a poor Cork team back into it.

Some of the shooting in this game has been very poor.

Paul Galvin punching Noel O'Leary.

Wonder how long it will take for a thread to be set up about that ?

Duffy refereeing very questionable all over. Must drive players mental.

Kerry went completely off the boil. Players they are bringing on like Sheehan and Donaghy not going to do much to quicken Kerry's pace either but they should just see it out.

Now that Cork have started to show a bit of heart they have found Kerry out. Two ordinary sides.

Very entertaining last 20 minutes. I'd say both teams are delighted to get a good competitive game under their belts. I don't normally criticise referees, but Marty Duffy had a very poor game. Some crazy decisions. And why was that last 45 kicked over the bar? Made no sense when a goal was needed. Either way, if Cork produce that first half performance in the qualifiers, they're out, if they produce the second half performance, they'll ease into the quarters.

Huge improvement from Cork in the second half, but ultimately left themselves too much to do. Well done Kerry
