RD, If Kildare beat us I don't think you'll beat them!

Let me get this straight, you are extremely cautious to say that you think Meath will beat Wexford (soon to be a div 3 team) and reach a Leinster final, but you confidenty assert that Meath will beat Kildare (a div 1 side) if they meet in the final?

Yes extremely confident of beating kildare, as was same last year. Division positions have nothing got to do with it. Meath should have beat kildare in league last year, kildare would hold no fear for meath, but there is apprehension when it comes to wexford, now that may have more to do with 08 when management rightly or wrongly decided in second half that at 10 points up it was time to make changes what was to happen afterwards still scars alot of meath people.
We have a chance to put that right, but there is definitely a little worry over that.
Kildare hold no such fears, i think we are a better team than last year and they around the same. So why wouldn't we think we'd beat them if thw opportunity arose??

Ah he's only saying that because its highly likely that Dublin will beat Kildare and then he can never be proven wrong. I'd love to meet them in the final but the chances of it are fairly slim. Dublin are the firm favourites and with good reason.

Yeah, best Kildare can hope for is the usual routine win against Dublin. After that we will probably get hammered by whoever we meet in the final.

I think whoever wins Kildare v Dublin will win Leinster the confidence Kildare would get from Beating Dublin would be a great boost if they made the final.
Simarily if Meath/wexford where on the same side as Dublin and beat Dublin in a semi I think they would be favourites to go on and win Leinster no matter who they faced in the final.

Its for another day and our concentration is solely on wexford. But id place a large very large wager on meath winning final IF. we got there and IF kildare were opponents. But that is all for another day, and this thread is about meath wexford.

RD, you caught the lilies on a bad day last year while ye played well above your station. You have not played them after they've beaten Dublin, imagine the confidence that would instil in the Kildare team.

After that, Meath would be child's play, if and only if, you get by Wexford!

Im very happy for meath to be given no chance, like I was in 91,96,99,01,07,09,10,and last year v kildare too. Sure ive already said all wex have to do is turn uo.
Kildare had lots of bad days last year then i guess?? Meath limerick and cork. When did yous have a good day?

Kildare and Meath can settle old scores in the qualifiers.

I dont want this to turn into another meath kildare thread. Lord knows we have had enough of them. I do hope that we can have one next Sunday eve entitled meath kildare leinster final. :-) but both have hell of games before any talk of that.
So please lets keep this on topic. Meath v wexford.
And i suspect that this will be game of championship for the purists amongst us. So hears hoping.

Lol @ RD, hey listen up, there are 5 o 6 teams that I would be concerned about if we were playing them next week, Meath are DEFINITELY not one of them, as for Meath being the only Leinster team to look upon Dublin with contempt... I very much doubt that, dream on my royal friend : )
