Overseas he had a great game in last years massive Semi final against Mayo when everyone else on the Dublin were having stinkers. clondalkindub (Dublin) - Posts: 9926 - 02/07/2013 14:28:42 1421653 Link 0 |

I thought he was very good against Kildare, not great and definitely not MOTM. I probably would have given him a 7 or 8 out of 10. CaisleanCnucha (Dublin) - Posts: 1379 - 02/07/2013 16:28:08 1421829 Link 0 |

He was only in Oz for 6 weeks and in ever paper I bought yesterday he was motm but I agree with everything else you say. clondalkindub (Dublin) - Posts: 9926 - 02/07/2013 17:14:02 1421907 Link 0 |

I read the paper as well CD but don't take their writings as the word of God, they also gave Paul Flynn a 7 and I thought it was his worst game in a blue shirt, Andrews got a 6 and he was also very poor. CaisleanCnucha (Dublin) - Posts: 1379 - 02/07/2013 18:07:09 1421971 Link 0 |

No he didn't go back after Christmas, he went over for a week in October to sign for Hawtorn then came home and went back to Oz at the start of November and came home mid December and that was it , so a max of 7 weeks he was in Oz for. Sure he played against Mayo on September the 2nd so it's impossible for him to spend 4 months in Oz. clondalkindub (Dublin) - Posts: 9926 - 02/07/2013 18:53:17 1422023 Link 0 |

Sorry about that CD you are completely right, I always thought he went back but he ended his Aussie rules career very early. CaisleanCnucha (Dublin) - Posts: 1379 - 02/07/2013 19:30:40 1422046 Link 0 |

Serious footballer, wait 'til Brogan comes back at CF and he moves into the full-forward line, that's where he's lethal! realdub (Dublin) - Posts: 8821 - 14/07/2013 15:40:20 1431028 Link 0 |

Great player, can't understand why someone with jacks stature in the game would make those comments. sam57 (Louth) - Posts: 1502 - 14/07/2013 15:44:40 1431037 Link 0 |

I liked how he calmed Connolly down when he was getting involved and things got a bit heated, I used to think he would definitely be a corner forward but after watching today he could make a fantastic CF. CaisleanCnucha (Dublin) - Posts: 1379 - 14/07/2013 15:46:43 1431043 Link 0 |

His kick passing was outstanding. Best I've seen for a while. Scary. DLlegends (Donegal) - Posts: 503 - 14/07/2013 15:53:11 1431054 Link 0 |

Actually Meath were promoted to div2 Chicago so they are a division two team...but I see the point you are making man. Pretty offensive comments from a legend of the game but Kilkenny should find critisism like that and take strenght from it to become an even better player than he is...and he is an exceptional player at the moment. Pin Jackos comments up on the wall and after every great game he has fire a dart at it :-) Keep up the good work Ciaran. Dubsfan28 (Dublin) - Posts: 2509 - 14/07/2013 21:07:09 1431485 Link 0 |

Think chicago09s comments are a bit short sighted. Meath may not be top opposition but sure the rest of the Dublin players played against them too, and few stood out more than Kilkenny. joncarter (Galway) - Posts: 2692 - 14/07/2013 21:12:27 1431495 Link 0 |

Just need to see more of him is what im trying to say you know he is still young but the good teams will figure him out. chicago09 (Kerry) - Posts: 694 - 14/07/2013 21:21:54 1431510 Link 0 |

The young man C.Kilkenny is letting hes football do the talking. A bright kid with huge potential who can go and win lots of medals like Jacko. Id take Jacko's comments with a pinch of salt. Theres more to that story than we know id guess. kerry74 (Kerry) - Posts: 1354 - 14/07/2013 21:51:29 1431552 Link 0 |
