Peter Canavan for me.

Lads, Brian Stafford deserves a mention in the 14 position. Could win ball, score of his right and left, deadly accurate from free's. Others deserving of a mention here Bomber Liston, Maurice Fitz, Colin Corkery, Big Joe McNally, maybe in 5 years time Michael Murphy too(even though he's not an edge of the square merchant)....Peter Canavan is my 15 so thats why i'm not putting him in here...others are mentioning Graham Geraghty...a better wing forward and not as good as any of the above in FF

For me can only be Matt Connor

I dont see how this going to work, in fairness if you were to pick the greatest team ever you would pick wee Peter at number 15 were he would be most effective

Did no-one vote for Leitrim's Packie McGarty when it was his turn? For shame. Or Declan Darcy?

Canavan was great, Connor was better but the best No.14 to ever grace a football pitch was Padraig Joyce. Still the best footballer in Galway even though retired.
I cannot believe this is even being argued. There is not another forward in the history of the game who could have scored 10 points in an AI final against Darren Fay. Would be the first name on my team sheet. All the other candidates had flaws. PJ was as near to perfect as a footballer gets. The results of this whole process can be ignored if PJ is not at 14

Scary to think that one of Peter Canavan, Matt Connor or Maurice Fitzgerald won't make this team.

Easiest pick of the lot - Pádraic Joyce.

Honourable mention to Stephen O'Neill, but in reality it wasn't a close contest in my mind.

I think people are jumping the gun on Canavan. Surely he's no.15?

I voted for Peter. fair enough Tyrone beat us 3 times in Croker and Peter was at core of thoae defeats, just becasue we lost doesn't mean we cannot appreciate a good player. Thats why i voted for him along with several of my felow kerry men

I have to disagree with you redhanddefender, Kerry posters
are not biased on this thread, and many have voted for Canavan,
Dooher and Jordan. If you read back over the posts, it is obvious
who the most biased are! They also have green and gold strip!

Disagreee, Kerry posters have been quite impartial on this thread,
most of the greatest players of all time came from Kerry, so they
are voting accordingly, and many of them have voted for Canavan.
