Good man gotmilk, stick it to the Meath mafia!

I mean they somehow connived to get a man roasted by Ray Cosgrove as the full back on this team!!!!

In anyways, at 12 I'll go for Michael Donnelan.

Too young to have seen Spillane and I don't like him either so no chance for him!

Michael Donnellan.

Gotmik ive noticed that aswell. this whole thing is flawed. Meath have the most amount of posters on this site and all they are doing is voting for their own.

Now obviously not ALL are doing this but the VAST MAJORITY.

Pat Spillane - if anyone wants to see how good he was, find some footage of the 1984 or 1986 AI Finals, both of which were after a career-threatening knee injury.

Paddy Doherty (Down), Mickey Kearins (Sligo) and Packy McGarty (Leitrim) are all well worth a mention.

Graham geraghty. The most naturally gifted player of all time.
Gotmilk. I myself have voted for Maurice Fitz, martin furlong, brian mullins. Get your facts straight or it just makes your point look stupid.

so you only voted for 3 out of a possible 12 positions from players outside of meath!? I think that is the point goymilk is making!

Anyway, never seen him live but from the old games iv seen on tg4 I have to vote for Pat Spillane.

Has to be Spillane, easiest choice so far.

And royaldunne I really admired Geraghty and always fought his corner but I think the physios at Man Utd and Aston Villa would have something to say about how 'natural' his gift was!

Pains me to say it but Spillane for me at 12.

I think Spillane would upset team morale so I can't pick him.

I'll go for Michael Donnellan.

Ah come on Royaldunne you haven't voted for anyone else but Meathmen, really enjoying this thread but some people think 15 of there own county men our the best and no one else. My vote goes to pat Spillane even doh I've only seen highlights of the man.

Can't believe Ciaran Mac came so close to the 11 shirt. There should be a decision tho between him and Giles. I voted for neither but Giles is undoubtly the better of the two

Undoubtedly Spillane is a shoe in for the 12 position but I never had the pleasure of seeing him play only talk.... and that isn't a great experience. So he is discounted from my selection.

My nominees are:
Oisin McConville
Graham Geraghty

Another very close call both fantastic running forwards but I am going to go with Geraghty, based on his electrifying pace

Graham Geraghty

Thats the problem with saying guys from the past were better..we are only seeing highlights or reading the views of someone who was there 50 years ago. You don't see them play in a rubbish match and be critiqued by Spillane and Brolly.

Could have gone with Ml.Donnellan or Ja but going to plump for

Padraig Joyce (Galway) - No. 11

Versatile enough to play anywhere in the forwards.

Didnt see enough of pat spillane live, bar unfortunetly now. as he said himself kerry had two games every year to worry about and on that i wouldnt give it to him , Think he was a great player and great battles with the Dubs.
But i thnk Oisin mc conville has had far tougher matches in his career and came out on top he gets my no 12.
