Pat spillane and michael donnellan both class acts but at his prime graham geraghty was a different class bobjaffacake (Meath) - Posts: 1400 - 18/06/2013 11:34:56 1409650 Link 0 |

Pat Spillane for the number 12 jersey. The man was ahead of his time. His two brothers were pretty handy too. dubupnorth (Dublin) - Posts: 1897 - 18/06/2013 11:46:52 1409664 Link 0 |

I'm too young to remember Spillane in his heyday, although I expect him to win. My vote goes to James McCartan Jr. peter_venkman (Down) - Posts: 320 - 18/06/2013 12:18:15 1409717 Link 0 |

Gonna go with Maurice Fitzgerald at 12 as I already have my full forward line sorted. orange and blue (Tyrone) - Posts: 1080 - 18/06/2013 12:39:56 1409744 Link 0 |

Don't ever remember watching Spillane play. For me boys it has to be Michael Donnellan. gotmilk (Fermanagh) - Posts: 4971 - 18/06/2013 12:51:03 1409758 Link 0 |

Graham Geraghty, just can't imagine him not making the 15, Pat Spillane was before my time! Royalroller (Meath) - Posts: 86 - 18/06/2013 12:52:21 1409761 Link 0 |

Oisin McConville for me as with a lot of posters never had the chance to watch Pat. McConville was just scarily consistent, guranteed to score 5-6 points a game. Best performance when he scored 1-9 in 2000 semi final and Moynihan still got man of the match! ArmaghinWarwick (Armagh) - Posts: 26 - 18/06/2013 12:56:30 1409771 Link 0 |

Its only the last 2 days i have been looking at this thread but every meath poster seems to be shouting for their own. Giles was a good player but to suggest he is better than McDonald is just wrong. I see Geraghty is getting shouted about at the minute for wing half forward. All i'm saying is i am yet to see a Meath man suggest someone from outside Meath. gotmilk (Fermanagh) - Posts: 4971 - 18/06/2013 14:28:58 1409896 Link 0 |
