Pat Spillane for the number 12 jersey. The man was ahead of his time. His two brothers were pretty handy too.

I'm too young to remember Spillane in his heyday, although I expect him to win. My vote goes to James McCartan Jr.

Gonna go with Maurice Fitzgerald at 12 as I already have my full forward line sorted.

Don't ever remember watching Spillane play. For me boys it has to be Michael Donnellan.

Graham Geraghty, just can't imagine him not making the 15, Pat Spillane was before my time!

Oisin McConville for me as with a lot of posters never had the chance to watch Pat. McConville was just scarily consistent, guranteed to score 5-6 points a game. Best performance when he scored 1-9 in 2000 semi final and Moynihan still got man of the match!

While Matt Connor did indeed play a lot of football in the full forward line, he won two of his 3 All-Stars as a half forward at a time when All-Star selection was position specific!

Pat Spillane LHF, even though he can be a pain to listen to. Can't argue with his record and he gave 100% while on the field. Special mention to Packie McGarty of Leitrim, Maurice Fitzgerald and Michael Donnellan.

Do the posters from Meath realise it's an all time great team, not just a meath best 15

To be fair, the names mentioned by Meath posters were all great players, O'Malley, Fay, Lyons, O'Connell, McDermott, Giles. So I dont really see what your problem with that is, and people from other counties have voted for thos players too.

Its only the last 2 days i have been looking at this thread but every meath poster seems to be shouting for their own. Giles was a good player but to suggest he is better than McDonald is just wrong. I see Geraghty is getting shouted about at the minute for wing half forward. All i'm saying is i am yet to see a Meath man suggest someone from outside Meath.

Shows how much youve actually read on this then.

Ive seen plenty of Meath people vote for people outside their county.
Me Personally ive already voted for, Cluxton, Marc O'se, Tony Scullion, Paudie O'Se, Seamus Motnihan, Dara O'Se, Brian Dooher and Pat Spillane.

So I have no idea why you come out with something like that just to try and have a pop at Meath fans. Theres nobody from the players mentioned who dont deserve at least their nomination on a great team.
