Anyone who mentions Karl Lacey in this thread, its beyond laughable. Darren Fay of county Meath, one of the best full backs that ever played the game.

Mick Lyons. The Meath full back, whose sheer presence, could terrify a bully like Keith Barr into a nervous wreck.

Tough position to pick. I really want Moynihan in this team. It wouldn't be too hard to justify him somewhere in the back line. However, he was deployed more at centre back. I really liked Lyons; a fantastic player. SML of Derry; always a worker, I'd have him in front of Bellew for sure.

My bias and admiration must go to Moynihan though. I'll be voting for him at Centre Back also if he doesn't get in the full back slot!!

My vote for the number four slot goes to Dublin's Mick Kennedy. A no nonsense corner back who played in the eighties and early nineties for the Dubs. Colm O'Rourke once described him as being the toughest opponent he had ever faced. A great player who even turned out in goals for Dublin when Paddy Cullen retired and just before John O' Leary made his debut in the 1980 Leinster

Darren Fay gets the coveted number 3 jersey with Seamus Moynihan his nearest opposition.

Our team now reads Cluxton, O Se, Fay.

On to the number 4 berth. Due to the weekend we will run this until Monday morning.

Really surprised with the interest in this team to date. So keep those votes rolling.

The GAA was in existence before 1990 just to let everyone else know!! The greatest left back of all time was Sean Flanagan from Mayo.

My vote goes to Paudie Lynch of Kerry. A great all rounder who could play in any position on the park
