Wicklow v Meath

And no one rated dubs in 08 and 09 or ten for that matter. Simple meath are an improving team. They are not and no one ever said the finished article. So cc grow up and call a team for what they are, in transition. Trust me in two or 3 years this meath team will be winning leinster. You got to look at bigger pictures.

Jimbo wasn t as flukey as the 2010 leinster final when joe went over a try.

royaldunne i like your passion for your county , but because someone doesnt have the same opinion as you doent mean they have to grow up. you dont know if you are an improving team yet or further away from the pack than last year, only time will tell.

Well we must have done something right last night, to have dub and flourbags on giving out about us. Jeaus we must have been better than i thought.
hon the royal. Don't worry Lilly's, so what if you brought the wrong forward, biggy is only one player, but what a player.

I think it's safe to say RD the 6 best forwards in the country are all in Meath!

1 Graham Reilly
2 Graham Reilly
3 Graham Reilly
4 Graham Reilly
5 Graham Reilly
6 Graham Reilly

Seriously though we are a coming team and next year we'll be even better if we can get Tobin and Forde back. A leinster championsip is the most we will dream of winning this year. Unlikely but not impossible.

Jack haha. Yep just clone biggy and we will take all apart.
Jimbo. Just pointing out that no one is expecting meath to be AI contende.rs this year. Far from it. If we lost to wexford, it would stll be seen as a successful year. Now maybe whats not been seen by those outside county, is the cohesive unit thats been built, no infighting, no walk offs from panel, CB and management working as one even those dropped from panel ain't back biting, but saying they will try to work way back. There is pride in the Jersey and everyone buying into the system and working as a unit
We have found some great new talent and the better players are able to express themselves better on the pitch. Believe me i have seen better performance than last night over last couple of years but i haven't seen a more together team. Thats the difference.

I think Reilly is a very good player, but I'd like to see him against the Donegals and Kerrys etc at the business end. Alas, I think we'll have to wait until the qualifiers before we can see that kind of match-up. :D

Whie the 6 point turning point was indeed significant it always looked like Meath would win by a fair bit and that they did.

G Reilly did well, even passed the ball constructively a few times and not just after running up a blind as in previous years so the new Manager is improving things. The best player on show, by a distance, was B Meade, who bossed the middle.

The only dissapointment for me was having tipped Meath (On the Kildare Fans site) to win by 10, they fell just a little short but that might just keep them grounded for Wexford. I know some of their fans will go a bit overboard but I see them taking Wexford by 5 at least

Really? Couldn't agree with that. Given that we were in Division 3, and were on the easier side of the Leinster draw, I would have said that the absolute minimum that was expected was promotion, maybe knocked out in the Leinster semi, and a decent run in the qualifiers. Given that we were poor in the league and were blessed to be promoted, being beaten by Wexford in the Leinster semi would not be seen as successful by me. Just about acceptable would be how I would describe it.
To be honest, I am seeing a lot more sense and balanced opinion on this thread from non-Meath supporters than I am from Meath ones.
