Mayo certainly have the credentials , they play with a lot of intensity and a never say die attitude , unlike the Mayo teams of yesteryear this team have great character and a physical edge , they are extremely strong in every line bar the full forward line which is probably the worst out of the top 8 teams although the return of Andy Moran and the good form of Enda Varley will go some way to changing that , they are just crying out for a physically imposing forward with a bit of space who can give them the star quality they are looking for in that line , maybe Darren Coen can be that player or perhaps Evan Regan , Adam Gallagher or Shane Hennelly , I certainly do not think Conroy or Doherty are going to be that player for Mayo unfortunately , In every other line they are class , Clarke , Cafferkey , Higgins , Boyle , Keegan , Moran , Aiden O'Shea , Dillon , Andy Moran ,McLoughlin and O'Connor are all class players , they have a good bench and are well conditioned and Horan has provided Mayo with that physical and mental edge

Has the first unlucky hit gone to Mayo with the worrying news regarding Cillian O'Connor...??

All the best to him...
