midlu1 louth, ok, and will monaghan take donegal to the cleaners as well, the more i think about it i am wondering what planet you are on, monaghan have an average team, older players, been around the block, un lucky last year against down, then look what donegal did to down last year, and tomorrow will be no different, DONEGAL V CAVAN, 2013 ulster final, you all have seen it here first,

The good old Meath way, they certainly know
how to kick the ball alright, as well as the
opposing player who has the ball! There is
nothing like the good old Meath way! LOL!

as much as i enjoyed Donegal winning Sam last year i really think they have destroyed the game.today was simply cheating! lose the ball in the oppositions half and foul straight away giving them time to regroup behind the ball.the sooner the black card is introduced the better.

If today's game is anything to go by, Monaghan will have a
better chance against Donegal in the final than Cavan would,
Down showed today that Donegal are very beatable if you lower
yourself to their level of cynicism! And if one team can do
cynicism, it is Monaghan. A referee appointed by McEnany would
also help there fortunes; it was the referee that ultimately
beat Down today!

we were lucky, to get over the line today, that has to be our worst game in ulster in 3 years, if down had taken their chances we were beat, well done down, and i dont think we would like to meet yous anytime soon, monaghan have to be the dark horses now, i know i went for a cavan win, with them been neighbours, fierce rivals, etc, but monaghan have been around have experience etc,the cavan team is comming but it would be a big ask, though not impossible, either way we,donegal would have to up our game, as monaghan would take us on todays performance, and cavan would not be too far away either, it shows football in ulster anyway is not as one sided as we , me all thought,

RoyalDunne Down showed how to play crap football today. If they played to their strength they might have won. Their strength is nice open football btw.

Gatekeeper, I used to respect your posts on here but the diatribe you've been posting on here this evening is shocking. You actually really believe that it was the referee that ultimately beat Down today...? You're having a laugh right or just still hurting from Ballybofey...?

Im kinda afraid to post on this thread ,really have to watch what you say ,donegal ,monaghan and cavan left in ulster ,it doesnt matter donegal will beat us if we joined teams and put our best out ,i think cavan will give monaghan a good shock again ,one monaghan post read "yous beat a poor fermanagh side with no forwards wait til you play us with our 6 forwards ,yous have two! ,and if one plays good the other plays bad ,donegal to win anyway

Lifford,
That is just GateKeeper having a bit of fun. The giveaway is the line about "lowering yourself to their level of cynicsm".
GateKeeper is from Tyrone. Say no more......

My post may have been a bit extreme lifford, but just listen
back to Oisins commentary about the game! Fair enough Down
did turn use the dark-side also, but not to the same extent
as Donegal. Donegal did not expect Down to play that way, but
fair play to them, they still won the game! Still hurting from
Ballybofey? No, I just hate it when another team is top-dog is
all! Just having a bit of craic!

Looking forward to this game on Saturday evening, have to say. A tight local derby between an up and coming Cavan team and a battle hardened Monaghan team with some wise heads.

Cavan got their tactics spot on in the league game, I don't think the Farney will allow themselves to be bullied like that again. I've a feeling that this may be a game too far for Cavan, but Monaghan will certainly need to improve on their first round showing.

Monaghan by 4-6 points

Fancy Monaghan this weekend. They will be champing at the bit to get one over Cavan and to prove their worth in this years Ulster Championship. Cavan have done extremely well so far, but Monaghan are better than Armagh and Fermanagh.

Monaghan by 3.

Cavan for me by 2 or 3 although a Monaghan win would not surprise me in the least. Looking forward to it.
