Thank god for meath and wicklow. At least in leinster you'll get football and not handball. Jesus that was dire. royaldunne (Meath) - Posts: 19449 - 16/06/2013 17:09:36 1407909 Link 0 |

Didn't get to see the match as was playing for the club. Was it as bad as some are making out? MourneArmy (Down) - Posts: 1787 - 16/06/2013 17:15:46 1407918 Link 0 |

Mourne Army they are the most annoying and hateful neighbours you could have... There nasty and remind me of tyrone. The abuse monaghan players and supporters will get on sat week will be horrendous. I actually would advise parents to leave their children at home. shaggylegend (Monaghan) - Posts: 1949 - 16/06/2013 17:23:04 1407926 Link 0 |

to be fair to Pat he was just commenting on what he saw in the first half which was pure muck in all fairness and with brolly not being there to stop him from talking he just kept going and probably said too much. I wonder was Jacko watching it because that was junior football at its finest but then again how bad is Ross common the mayo game isnt much better. chicago09 (Kerry) - Posts: 694 - 16/06/2013 17:24:13 1407928 Link 0 |

You have to laugh listening to some of the partitionist nonsense on here. Taking lectures on 'pure football' from a Meath person is like taking lecture from Billy Bunter on losing weight. Meath spent most of the late 80's and 90's battering teams, fighting all over the pitch, indulging in the dark arts and winning at all costs.....and that's why many of us loved watching them. Armagh and Tyrone won in a similar style to them so for a Meath person to indulge in modern day revisionim is pathetic. The only football Championship worth watching is Ulster and like the Munster hurling Championship keeps the interest going in Gaelic Games. The Mayo/Roscommon game is a soft, non contact turgid affair that's similar to paint drying; it doesn't even have the physical edge either to keep your interest going while the Munster football Championship is just a few friendlies for Cork and Kerry. Leinster is very poor Dublin apart and they are not going to win SAM either. No it's the usual Free State anti Ulster brigade doing what they do best; jealously giving off against the Ulster and Nordie brigade because they still have fight and fire in their bellies, unlike the rest of the island in 2013. Lads we are meant to be defending OUR Provincial Championship. Give me Cavan Fermanagh rather than this one sided training game on rte2. As for criticism of monaghan last week they bet what was in front of them. doratheexplorer (Cavan) - Posts: 1467 - 16/06/2013 17:29:55 1407935 Link 0 |

Sorry Gatekeeper i would put them in the same bracket as tyrone. Believe nobody ever won anything apart from Cavan. Tyrone thought GAA began in 2003. Yes there are genuine supporter like every county but there is nastiness. They hate us we hate them and to be honest its the most bitter rivalry in ulster. Armagh and Tyrone wouldn't have a look in... shaggylegend (Monaghan) - Posts: 1949 - 16/06/2013 17:44:53 1407965 Link 0 |

Never had an issue with Cavan folk ever, love their football, love their county, like the rest of us. Maybe like of us, if you rub them up the wrong way then they'll bite, kind of guessing thats what you Monaghan lads have bee up to. brendtheredhand (Tyrone) - Posts: 10897 - 16/06/2013 17:55:37 1407982 Link 0 |

Shaggy nothing wrong with banter but some unfortunately lose the run of themselves. Hope some cavan comments on here are tongue in cheek cause in fairness we have being muck for years. Hopefully a belting semi final and may the best team win. I'm just happy to see signs of progress for the future regardless of how the rest of the year pans out. As regards to todays game delighted to see mackey and clarke to the fore. The two oldest who supposedly were not good enough for the squad last year. Lads we all should be delighted to be in the only provincial championship that means anything. doratheexplorer (Cavan) - Posts: 1467 - 16/06/2013 18:03:46 1407995 Link 0 |

Should Cavan not stay in Fermanagh, invite Monaghan up and hold some male bonding peace talks with the G8? Seriously fellas all this hate and bitterness will do ye no good.....though ye might get some 'community activists grants' from the EU like certain paramilitary folk up here.
