Banana skin safely negotiated, hope none of the Leitrim lads took a bite out of the Big Apple!

Basically everyone on this thread tipping new york with the handicap, except for my good self who said Leitrim to cover the handicap with ease..GAA lover, that's one nil already.

Well done Leitrim, I think they'll give Sligo a good game in the Semi (assuming the beat London). As long as they stay solid enough at the back and supply enough ball into Mulligan it should be a close game.

This is not bias, but firstly I wouldn't be too sure of Sligo winning in Ruislip, as for Leitrim giving Sligo a good game it's more the other way round. More than likely it will close match, not much in it, but if ends-up a one-sided match it will be Leitrim finishing-off Kevin Walsh's era in Sligo......think they are quite brittle at the moment.

That's a pretty brave statement to make solo_run, I hope you're right though because I've strong connections with Leitrim. I know they have declined since their Connacht final loss but I still think they have the players to compete in Connacht; David Kelly, Charlie Harrison, Ross Donovan and Adrian Marren are all very good players to name a few.

Got lucky 51Longago shame you couldn't get so lucky on your All Ireland final prediction last September ;)

Agreed. Marren is a quality full forward and well able to trouble any full back. It was an opening league fixture in Jimmy's first season in charge but I remember Marren giving Neil McGee serious bother in that game.

Anyone fancy Leitrim to make the final? I certainly do and I hope it's against Roscommon. They'd have a real good chance.

Presume you're talking out West ...as the 3rd weekend in September would be pushing it a bit....though if you nothing something I don't, let me know as I can retire with Paddy Power otherwise!

emylyn mulligan top scorer a week back was great odds. he's a good 15 points up on the rest of them after one game. looking a good bet now.

go back in time and throw on a score. thank me later.
