It will become problematic if New York win alright, as i dont think there is a spot for the losers of this game designated in the qualifiers so a NY win would cause some problems i imagine yes. Back in 2006 there hurlers qualified for the Ulster final which was due to be played the following week but after NY won it was put back until late in the year when Antrim had to travel out. The only difference there is the Ulster SHC is not linked to the All Ireland any more so it could be played any time of the year, unlike the football.

Fairly sure that after Galway got a fright in 2010 off New York that they closed the loophole of the theoretical loser to NY not getting to enter the qualifiers.

no it was 2011 in ruislip london 2-10 v 0-19 may after extra time
