Lads I honestly do not see what others do in John Heslin, he's good but he's not as good as many people are making him out to be. The two best midfielders i have seen this year are Johnny Buckley (kerry) and Sean Hurley (kildare) Scrambler (Meath) - Posts: 24 - 13/04/2013 12:32:47 1366896 Link 0 |
Michael Darragh MacAuley & Aidan O Shea i think Anthony Maher is very under rated. Keenan and Brendan Murphy would walk on any side shea (Kerry) - Posts: 409 - 13/04/2013 12:33:01 1366897 Link 0 |
John Galvin & Brendan Murphy. bob_dolphin (Limerick) - Posts: 694 - 13/04/2013 13:34:17 1366931 Link 0 |
Brendan Murphy is pure class, Id love to have him for Donegal. Sean Cavanagh is awesome where ever he plays so id pick those two. TheRightStuff (Donegal) - Posts: 1688 - 13/04/2013 14:16:22 1366947 Link 0 |
Scramber, you obviously have seen Heslin playing. Since he was 16 he has been immense at all levels. Playing players of the field who are well over 10 years older. Since he has returned from Oz his discipline has also improved. Matthew (None) - Posts: 1083 - 13/04/2013 14:33:21 1366954 Link 0 |
It all depends what ur looking for. I would go for maher and Walsh. Both can field, take scores and defend quite well. I would not have s. Cavanagh in d middle, put him in at centre half forward. Very few good all round midfielders about. I wouldn't have Michael d. McCauley In the top five!!!! Don't think he's a good midfielder, a good athlete, Yes. For me the best midfielders are probably from the weaker counties. Galvin for Limerick, Clare midfielder (destroyed cork in Munster Final),Keenan from Louth, Murphy from Carlow. The Laois midfield partnership was also very strong last year. 01ros (Roscommon) - Posts: 113 - 13/04/2013 15:57:11 1366999 Link 0 |

I think John Galvin when fit is the best midfielder in the country, hes absolutely unbelievable but he probably isn't the player he was with his 2 cruciate injuries. CaisleanCnucha (Dublin) - Posts: 1379 - 13/04/2013 16:12:10 1367007 Link 0 |
