This league is/was an interesting season. So perhaps 6 teams per division is working out. I could see 8 per div. But 10 - 12 per div. is too many.

I like the six games too - but expanding and handicapping the fixtures - say 10 teams (3 at home, 3 away and 3 avoided) - gives more teams a crack at the title - while making KK's schedule tougher and a promoted Carlow lighter playing only mid-range counties, and waiting to get stronger before playing all of the top teams.

Lads,the current format is the best we are going to get. Corcaigh were not good enough to stay in the top division and Luimneach are not good enough to go up to the top division. Thats what it comes down to. So far this has been the best hurling league in years and years and that is down to the current format...and also the various different counties in 1A and 1B are suddenly taking the league very seriously. Is that not what we all wanted??
