1371336 AthCliath, Don't bite if you'll excuse the pun..

These lads won't listen to you ..

I know, theres one or two if it was their county would be singing a diffent tune, but sure what can you do.

Nothing just get on with it. In fairness a few lads from outside the pale especially from Donegal are showing a bit of class in there views on this "incident" , Unfortunately others are very quick to judge.

I said "throw the book at him", meaning if he is found to be guilty of the offence, whatever punishment is handed down he should accept and get on with it.

But again, not to repeat myself Muckrosshead, my point is that, for example, Ulsterman comes on and starts talking about how Dublin fans are a disgrace for defending a player for biting!

He has no evidence of a bite, Dublin supporters are just saying banning a guy on flimsy evidence is not right. The Suarez incident today is a clear cut case of biting. He was caught on camera. And did you see Ivanovic....he went straight to the ref, showed the bite. Made an issue of it and rightly so!!! McBrearty should have done the same thing. Like if someone bit me I'd be livid.

Could have been handled better by Donegal at the beginning. Dublin team doctor reacted to an accusation of what he was supposed to have said. Bit silly by both camps.

Understand fully why Dublin have refrained from commenting, and if the Dublin player requested a personal hearing he clearly wants to defend his name. But if found guilty on a bruise and one players word against anothers then theres gonna be a "BITE-GATE" incident in almost every game this year (someone saying someone punched them off the balls etc). If pointing the finger is the only evidence you need.....its gonna cause mayhem.

Look the whole incident is unsavoury.......But another poster commented on something I said the other day, saying my post presumed McBrearty was the guilty party. See that's the problem with this incident, we have no evidence to see if either McBrearty is telling porkies or if the Dublin player done something utterly disgraceful and shameful.

It's hard to believe that an incident about which so little is actually known could have generated over 600 posts & heated debate.

As I understand it the known facts are as follows,

1 McBrearty reported/alleged, at half time, that he had been bitten.
2 Donegal alerted the referee & the Dublin management to the allegation.
3 The referee's report led to a CCCC investigation.
4 The CCCC have recommended a three match suspension.
5 The Dublin player has requested a hearing.

That's it, that's all we know for sure. The rest of it is a mixture of speculation, conspiracy theories, hearsay & mischief making, from both sides. This process is not yet finished & we should let it all play out before saying much more. When I see some of the real crap that is going on in the world at the moment this really seems like small potatoes.

Ah now Master, I would never have a cut at a man for defending his homeland. I might on occasion take issue with the way he does it & his creative use of the English language, but never for standing up & being counted!!

Tyson, Suarez and a Dub WALK INTO A PUB...............

Tyson orders a pint and a bit of ear, Suarez orders a G&T and a bit of shoulder, meanwhile the Dub sits quietly in the corner drinking his mineral and watching countdown and gets accused of causing a '''graze that looks like a bite''' to a Donegal player that nobody else witnessed!!

Tyson and Suarez manned up
Bad form if the Dub comes out last in a most "class" contest in that type of company

They're talking about a 10 game ban for suarez. Would a similar sanction be coming for the unnamed dublin player? And would it be fair?

.....if proven by video/photographic evidence and an independent witness then serve up any ban you like and Dubs will support it!

Seen the liverpool supporters commenting after that game on sky news about this suarez lad and all every one of them could say was: 'He's been our best player this year so I dont think he should be punished'!!. Just goes to show you they have no morals or sense of righteousness!

Check back over the comments of every Dub on here calling for bans ranging from a few weeks to lifetime ban if our player is proven guilty of an offence nobody else seen!

.......the honest Dubs!.....the righteous Dubs!!.....the class Dubs!!
